who's got this race ?

Usually rods knock and the main bearing squeal. Yeah that motor was junk anyway. All those high-speed passes down the track wore it out. Sure you weren't shooting the juice to it an got carried away. Like a 150 shot.
Thank goodness it didn't happen while we were racing you might have flung one of your Rods at me. lol

Now you feel some of my pain with yellow rose! LOL I mean with all his oil mods and all that stuff no telling what could have been flying at me...
 
Put those headers on there was just like my kid putting a new air filter on his Honda and thinks he got 100 extra horsepower! LOL blew the damn thing up..

From the looks of the Exxon Valdez he would have oiled the track down for you at least.lol

I'll probably have to put those magnum heads on the 318 mag I have and race with that. I have no performance cam, though, and the funds are really low for this project.

I think a main starving for oil because the bearing spun.

I can grind you a cam with my bench grinder. I can Precision grind to within 1/4 inch. But I'll put extra care into the cam for you and get it to within an eighth of an inch.
Too bad it did not piggyback a rod bearing then you would have more compression if it was on the top side.
Of course then you have to worry about the Piston hitting the cylinder head.
I have a 3.9 that I can give you that is still good
Then I will fix the transmission in my Jeep Grand Cherokee and we can race 6 cylinders. Sounds like a lot of fun to me. Don't lose hope. LOL

Your modified 318 against my stock 360. That should be a close race.

I don't mean to kick you while you're down on this but gosh dang those expensive headers, I just didn't see that coming. I know you like that extra inch or two of clearance but man how many cams could you bought with that money..
Well at least you can leave them right there in place when you pull this motor out...

What do you mean? The best time to kick them is when they're down. Don't let him get up keep kicking. lol

Where their down is a lot more fun. You can really build up some energy.
Just get a good rhythm going. You will really enjoy it. Sure beats having your own butt kicked in most cases anyway. lol

Oh man a spun bearing a knock! That sucks! But then again that's what happened to my old 318 and guess where I'm at now! LOL...

Well, went out this morning to try and tune the car a little to the headers. Reached the top of first gear and oil light flickered and the engine shook with violence. I got out of the gas real quick and went to neutral. let it idle and the engine was bangin' hard on the bottom end. I limped home. engine shook like it was off balanced. Oil light stayed on when I got home and the knocking of the bottom end was loud. I'm sure I spun a main bearing.

This puts a monkey wrench into all this..

Dartfreak called me out, so I have to own it. That how April Fools works....
 
I literally just woke up and checked my phone and that was the first thing I read and I was like... no way that has to be April fools lol we was just talking about how that motor was basically new and we all know sbm la are the toughest engines out there haha
