yeah, it's new..... or is it? It's a stinking over-the-counter- parts store re-man LOL. Not sure how precise they be, but it is a 1971 block :) Runs great!
 
I was getting ready to say If need be i could donate a crank if need be then I was like wait a minute...... today is April 1st

This thread has had everything else in it, why not a 4-1 joke? I played by the rules, it didn't include physical harm or death, and I owned it as soon as it was called out... LOL

Can't believe it took a Virginian waking out of slumber to call me on this one.... :eek:

I've not lost a small block in over 30 years (I've never lost one at all), so I thought I went out on a limb... :)

Try holding third gear to the end of the quarter mile (with a 4 speed), 3.55 gears, and 26 in. tires and report back...

Well, I originally wasn't going to go back to headers. But, I thought if I had better access to #7 plug/wire and better room around the starter, and didn't have center link going through them, I might decide I could live with them. But, it cost a little more....

Mines been off the road for alot of years, still purrs like a kitten/ screams like a banshee. But needs a ton of work. I've been helping my son on his 70 dart, it's on the road and runs very well. We go out on a desolate county road to test and tune it( where we can only hurt ourselves). He doesn't have any ambition to take it to the local strip so I don't ask about it. Any of my friends that see him drive by always ask" does he ever not smile while driving?" That sir, is what it's all about for me. I DO also enjoy all this banter!
 
I ain't mad at ya 360withrodswillfly... It was a good... That was a good one, just had me bummed out all day at work. Ol 360withbearingsspun got the best laugh. I never even thought about it being 4-1...

Hey kgip2k, are you close enough to possibly go see one of the races and get chili cheese fries?
 
Within a couple hours, I am hoping to make a race or 2... Just have to see how everything times out.
