Hello everyone!!
Where to start??
I have a 1969 Dart GTS that I bracket race. 3050 Lbs.
I am running a 500 ci engine. 4.15 crank.
Heads are 1967, 915 HP, with 2.14, 1.81 valves, ported. .557"/.557" MP shaft
External oiling. MP single plane intake, Barry Grant 1000 cfm carb.
Hooker Super Competition fender well Headers.
Not important for my question... full race prepped 727, 4500 stall. 4.10 rear.
Question, many of the heads to produce big HP have raised exhaust ports. This will not work for me. I was looking for a head with stock position ports, but will give me more power.
As you see, my cam is not that big, because the heads will not handle much more.
Now, I know many people do not like Indy, and the guys running Indy. But has anyone ran these heads, 440 EZ-325 CNC? Problems? Big HP increase?
Is there any other head that will give me high HP numbers, that is better with stock position exhaust ports?
Thanks for any help you can offer!! [-o<
