spun a bearing, waiting on my 408, actually just got dart back in a garage on 3rd of July, want to run with a hood, so working on the conversion to spring hood hinges, worked all summer with no days off. But will start working on it again. May be polish the crank and will put magnum back.

will keep you updated.
Want to put a chevy style radaitor, so it’ll fit better and want to cut out splash guards/inner fenders to fit headers better.
Also want to make tubular brackets for radiator and fenders, just picked up 1 1/4 tubing today

I put a BMW radiator in my 65. Required a little fab work, but shouldn’t be an issue for you. Ebay GT45 + 5.9 Magnum + E85 blow thru

That is one straight-looking 64! I really love 64 Darts. Mine is a 340 4spd. I haven't raced it in years, but my best 1/4 mile was 13.09 @ 104mph. Please keep us informed of your progress.

Busy summer with work, still didn’t get a chance to work on a dart, but was really lucky to snag a blown small block 360.
Might be a stupid idea, but we live only once, right? So this will go in a dart soon.
I want to move my firewall little bit i side too soon

okay. winter is here. i’m back
i’m very tight on money right now, trying to buy my house and my garage.
but i will try to start working nights on a Dart again. on a very low budget this time and probably will be saving and waiting on parts. But will keep you updated.

so tonight i cut my fenders.
point of no return. building my dream car this time. altered wheelbase.

moved it 7” worward. wanted to do 10 or 13” will let it sit and look at it, probably will move more forward.

i got my 5.9 ready and my la blown 360 ready.

wow! that’s so cool! i don’t think i ever seen straight axles with coil overs only with leaf springs! i like it! i actually was thinkking about doing independent front suspension i got from art morrison

an altered wheelbase car without a straight axle up front? whatever next. especially when a complete setup from speedway is such a good price (that's not what i used though, lol).
neil.

that’s what i wanted to go with, one of Dick Landys altered cars was not a straight axle, that’s the direction i wanted to go

What are the plans for the back end?
i want to do as much forward as i can, 15”, but ive heard about the rule of 10% if i have 113 wheel base i can move it only 11”, so i’ll might do that, not sure yet

also i want to move the engine a little inside i had problems with clearing the radiator

That'll look awesome! I know you've probably seen it, but here's a great series of videos on building a altered wheel base early Dart:

I had a question, how did you get the la valve covers on the Magnum engine? And did you get those M/T valve covers from the guy with the demon?..

i got them from Thadeous, he has a Demon too, not from Paul though. They just bolt direct on, but i stead of 10 studs it’s only 5.

I learn something new all of the time... Thank you..
I sold a set of those last year to the long curly haired heavy set guy.. super nice guy ..
I have an old high school friend who talks highly of you and your work... Sean michanic from the cab company?..

ladder bars with either diagonal locator or panhard bar and coilovers for me. much more positive location.
neil.
i’m still waiting for my rear frame rails, but it looks like i’ll might won’t have room for the seat! i want to move rear wheels a little forward(10inches probably) if i’ll go with ladder bars. i don’t know, have to mock up to see
