Started on installing a few things today as much as my back and hip would let me. First thing was the V8 gas pedal bracket that gets the DMT pre-cut foam gasket between the bracket and firewall. Thanks goes to Jerry
@sgrip65 for the superb reproduction of the mounting plate that holds the bracket on the firewall. Made of aluminum, it will never rust like the original steel plate.

Besides the 3 nuts on the built in studs, you can barely see the shanks of the 2 bolts protruding on the far left and bottom through the, as
@toolmanmike called it - the “horseshoe shaped bracket”. The 3rd hole on the right is a blind hole to the inside bracket.
Next was to install all the AC firewall insulation pad kit I bought from DMT. I can highly recommend this kit as it is head and shoulders above the kit I bought from REM quite some time ago
While out this morning at the paint supply place, I picked some heavy duty internal toothed washers with the hole In them just a skosh smaller than the hinge pegs. Now the hood hinges are nice and tight ready to install the hood and hydraulic lifts I fitted a few years ago. My, how time fly’s when you’re having fun!
Finally, I got both B Pillar latches installed - not tight since they will need adjustment when the doors get installed. The latches along with the mounting screws had previously been cad plated
As my friend Ulf
@65dartcharger says, the fun is continuing
