Camshaft #6 (Crower 300) from (1971 Profile) has clearly been the best performing Camshaft.
The 273 Barracuda pulled strong out-of-the-hole and this Cam pulled steady right up to 6000 RPM's.
We knew this Crower 300 would work well with our 273. Back in 1971, we took our {L/S} 1967 273 Barracuda,
which was running 14.00's with the Camshaft #2 (General Kinetics Camshaft) and we put in the Crower 300, and
we dropped down to 13.70's.

This is about as far as we can go with the #250 lb. rated Valve-Springs.

The Crower 300 (1971 Profile) was by far the 'best performing' Camshaft.
MVH,
We're not sure what we are going to do with these older profile Camshafts. All are in
excellent 'used' condition, and have not been abused.
The 273 'Loves the Crower' 'solid bumpstick', that we can atest to...
Thanks,,,,,,,,,Chuck P.
Just proof, that you can make a 'little' 273 Commando run in the 12.00's with
some ingenuity, and utilizing 'old' shelf performance parts without going broke.
Nothing personal to the '318 Racers', but I will never put one together for
Racing.
Back in the day, we used them for 'the family car' or Tow Car....

You must go back to a 'Solid Lifter' unit....if you want to be 'Commando'.
Though I do have to say, the 'Norris 273 Race' (1969 Profile)
idled so smooth, despite being listed as having a 'Lopey Idle'.
* .466" Lift

That Camshaft would even work well with an Automatic Transmission, Stock Converter, and 3.55 Gears - as long as you have a good exhaust system.
