How’d it run on your last trip to the track?
It was a disappointing night. Ran a 7.0/106mph on my first run just foot braking. 2nd run I enabled the 2 step to build boost off the line but it just falls on its face at launch and coming off the 2 step. That was a 7.x something at 98mph. Third run I turned up the boost a little and launched off the foot brake again but the tires broke loose in the middle of 2nd gear and I had to get out of it.

I just installed some Bosch 210 injectors from Vs Racing and am working on the tune.

Those are what I have in mine, they work good and plenty of flow for your set up.
Would love to see your tune. Are you running E85? The injector dead time settings are impossible to nail down for me. I’m just running with default values for now. Bosch Factory or ID2000 data (which is what many people recommend) won’t even idle.

Nope I'm not on E85 just pump and will be race gas. I can screen shot my current setting if you want. See if it helps

Sneaking up on the tune in upper boost numbers. I stubbed in some highish VE numbers in the table and have been using Auto Tune to zero in on it doing some street blasts. Getting closer as I gradually turn up boost and let the ECU do it's thing. The good news is all of the remaining overhead in the injector duty cycle. At 12psi I would usually be at about 80-85% DC already with the old injectors. My off-idle stumble magically went away with these Bosch 210s also. Win-win :)

Regarding your VE table I’ve found that once in boost my VE numbers don’t change all that much from 3psi all the way up to 15-16psi. Fuel flow obviously changes but the % doesn’t. There may be 2-3% difference between low boost and high boost for a given RPM. maybe that will help you/give you more confidence when you make your fuel map. Also 11.0 target seems really rich to me for 12psi. I target 11.5 at 15psi on E non intercooled.

Thanks! My VE table was pretty close at lower boost, maybe a point off but I’m being more conservative in the upper areas where I’ve never taken the motor before. I target 11.2 AFR at lower boost and then 11.0 up high to keep it on the safe side. Once I get the VE table dialed in I might lean out the AFRs a little. This is a 10.5:1 motor also.

Turned up the boost controller another 10% and did some more street tuning today. Hit 14.xpsi. I think that's the highest I've pushed this engine before and it's absolutely violent on street tires. It broke the tires loose in 3rd at about 50mph easing into it. Pucker factor was off the charts :D .
Still really rich, but getting closer.

that is a lot of VE... I haven't ran mine up to 14psi yet. I am curious what your fuel flow was.

How much are you allowing the ecu to correct? You’re targeting 11.0 afr but you’re running in the low 10s. It should be pulling a bunch of fuel.

At the track tonight. Set a new PB. Hitting about 16+ psi. Still running rich but running the auto tune and it’s getting closer.

Log from that last run. It hit 16.3psi right at the stripe. AFRs are really close. It was hitting my target of 11.0 through most of the run with a couple of areas that were slightly rich. This is all foot brake, leaving the line w/o any boost. I need sort the 2 step and try to build boost on the line to improve the 60'. Can't believe I'm making 16psi on a 4lb spring and the boost controller at 70% duty cycle. 20lbs should be easy.

You badly need a set of drag radials on white steel wheels for the back to complete the look. Your car is so bad ***

Nice work and new PB! I’m likely going 210’s myself. How do you like them, and how is the idle/idle AFR’s?
Curious to see your timing map if you’re willing to share. FYI, I noticed a significant increase in power from 15psi on up; as if that’s just getting into the compressor’s sweet spot.

Im really happy with the 210s. I struggled trying all of the recommended dead time maps just to discover that the MS3 defaults work great. Idle is a bit rich, maybe 13.30-13.5 on gas scale. I can remove fuel in that part of the VE to take it closer to 14-14.7 but then off idle stumbles a bit. I might try to address it later. My motor idles pretty low also, around 650rpm. DM me your email and I’ll send you my whole tune.

Try a bit more ignition timing coming off idle to fix the "lean" stumble.
