A-Bodies...Big Motors / New Hemi Duster - FINAL ASSEMBLY

-
I had 3 and the last one I had in my Hemi Duster for I think 8 years. Its unbelievable. The newer ones that Denny is making is going in my Hemi Dart. Now I'm not a road racer so I cant comment on that but I bet it would be better than anything else you buy. My 2 Cents

Good to know. I looked up pics of your hemi duster(orangish-red one) and while not a road race car, i'm sure you've thrashed the hell out of that monsterous street car around town.(who could resist?). Which would put the suspension to the test in a variety of ways

So gives me a bit of confidence in how the suspension would likely handle being tossed around.

So maybe 1st of the yr the credit card fairy will bring me a HDK K-member and then i'll just pair it with one of those fender bracing kits for good measure.(not that it may be necessary, just my own piece of mind given that it may see a road course day or two)

...... What happen to the new shifter ?

it was a pistol grip knob....the extra leverage over the short super-shifter handle was nice, but on a powershift it spun loose...no good.....and I've always liked the no-spin ball....so I just bought a taller shift handle

just got home and my gas tank was on the doorstep...wonder if my old one is covered under warranty

In my humble opinion I don't think you can go wrong. I drove that car everywhere. the new owner drove it to Detroit and then to St Louis from Pittsburgh. I'm a big fan of the setup.

While the tank is out getting re-placed...I imagine it's a good time to have Mark build that re-designed panhard bar.....and try out those Flowmater Delta Force mufflers.

Norwalk this weekend (Saturday).....unless I can't get the day off from the house finish thrash

I'm curious to see how those mufflers sound....... keep me posted.

In reallity...probably will not have them in for Norwalk.....just a "test fit'' for now....just no time.

GREAT pic John :prayer:
so i don't have to search the whole thread, what exhaust[mufflers] you running Denny - each has their own sound??

gonna $hit-can (return) the baby Flowmasters....too dinky, ordered the Jegs/Flowmaster knock-offs....9" vs 9.75" wide and a couple of inches shorter .....just slightly smaller, I need them to (sorry O.J )....fit like a glove!

During "Test & Tune" .today

HemiMark...how's the Barracuda running? Did the gap change help any?

HemiMark...how's the Barracuda running? Did the gap change help any?

Oh yes, for sure. I talked to a guy running a Hemi 68 Charger (he was at the bar tonight) with the same hei set up as the Barracuda and he said for the street I could go 45 easy. 40 at the track. He finished 2nd in the pump gas drags a few years back so taking advice from him is A O K.

that's the way I see it...should be able to dip in the .....ohh...mid 14sec range

I'm right there maybe.....what kind of a spot ya gonna give me.....remember, I no professional

I forgot to mention that today I found that the Barracuda has a trans brake. Not sure how it works but i guess I will science that out.

is that for parking on the hills when you are at the coffee shop?
