Finally, It's about time!
I'm so excited, I really need this car.
I'm worse than broke and this is all the fuel money I got left.
No more auctions though, I used half of my auction money on last months and this months bills. But hey, I'm caught up till Oct!
My ad was supposed to come out in two new newspapers this week and I really need the money. Come to find out they didn't put my ads in for some reason but will in Oct.
Great for that, I didn't need to make any money for 3 months instead of 2. Awe who needs groceries anyway...
I went down earlier today to load the ranger and bring it home from the dealer. It ran, not the best yet though. Drove it around the parking lot and backed into my ramps. When loading brake fluid started gushing from the frame rail right next to where they were working. Left it there. As I suspected, they hit the breakline when working on the other stuff. They blamed rust and told me another $300 to fix even thought they broke it.
Great, more money I don't have and the muzzle loaders fall shoot will be over by the time I get it up on the highway for sale.
CAN'T I JUST GET A BREAK!! (you did you poor bastard, remember we just broke it for you but hey, we'll fix it for you for $300.00)

The rust was so bad the whole back half of roof was involved. See the rust stains in pics? I barley put pressure on it and thought my finger would go through! Even when you lightly pressed on the vinyl that was solid, the metal under it would start making craking sounds. You know like when you crush crackers for a bowl of chili. Not even enough metal to grind then weld some more on. Any pressure on it at all it would cave in.
That guy just waisted my time, the last of my money, and about $40.00 in fuel. The same 40 I just put in the tank. That was it for fuel money, none left now. I got just enough fuel to buy a junker local and make it to the scrap yard and to the bank.
Man that sucks!!
No wonder the guy was so nice to me on the phone.
I just put a note on the car, I didn't wait for him, I just left.:banghead:

Besides I was so mad I got BS'd I was afraid what I might have said or done when he showed up. He is real close to giving me a death blow here with the fuel and all! I just wasn't in the mood to hand over my last $650 I had.
Not sure what is going to happen in the near future.

That is some good advise and I still have my motorcycle endorcement on my license. Only thing though, now that I'm 50 I know from past spill, me on harley add some dumb *** not looking and viola, I don't heal as quick as I used to. I'll just start driving Lump our 74 dart.

OH well,
I talked with someone looking at my ranger I had for sale. He mentioned he had went to look at that very same maverick a couple weeks after I did. He agreed it was too far gone. Also the owner hadn't told him about the metal part of the roof either, just the vinyl part.
I eneded up using the money for bills and paint for another project I've got going for another member.

Another oh well....
I didn't get to go to Monster Mopar....
But I did make myself a shirt with an iron on transfer from walmart!
I was going to wear so people could identify me to either run away or stop and say hi.
If ya ever see a shirt like this on back of somebody...It's me, say hi!
OR run the other way if yer hatin' that day! LOL
I'm a walking sandwich ad board for FABO now!
After I went for coffee this morning I decided to make a long sleeve one too! We got frost this morning!!:coffee2:
Pretty soon all the vines and weeds will be dying off. We'll be able to see the car pics from the road easier!!
More chapters soon to come.
