WTH????? Why are people like that? :wack: Like "I'll just not say anything maybe he won't notice the roof has more holes than Swiss cheese" or "maybe he'll still buy it if I come down to $600". :scratch:Soft Cell :Tainted Love Music Video - YouTube
Couple more pics
DAMN!
The rust was so bad the whole back half of roof was involved. See the rust stains in pics? I barley put pressure on it and thought my finger would go through! Even when you lightly pressed on the vinyl that was solid, the metal under it would start making craking sounds. You know like when you crush crackers for a bowl of chili. Not even enough metal to grind then weld some more on. Any pressure on it at all it would cave in.
That guy just waisted my time, the last of my money, and about $40.00 in fuel. The same 40 I just put in the tank. That was it for fuel money, none left now. I got just enough fuel to buy a junker local and make it to the scrap yard and to the bank.
Man that sucks!!
No wonder the guy was so nice to me on the phone.
I just put a note on the car, I didn't wait for him, I just left.:banghead:
Note said;
Thanks for telling me about the roof that was garbage. It's beyond unless you want it converted to a roadster. $650.00 is way out of line and so is bull shittting me on the phone. Oh I almost forgot, Thank you also for waisting my time I can't ever get back and the last $40.00 in fuel I had to my name. You have made me 1 step up from homeless. Want to buy a car hauler? Give me a call!:finga:
I guess I should have waited there and offered like 300 then brought it home and start parting. But there is not enough demand for maverick parts. Aint like it was a Dart or something. Besides I was so mad I got BS'd I was afraid what I might have said or done when he showed up. He is real close to giving me a death blow here with the fuel and all! I just wasn't in the mood to hand over my last $650 I had.
Not sure what is going to happen in the near future.
I hope this isn't the last chapter of
CAR HUNT! FABOZENE:cool:
I agree!!WTH????? Why are people like that? :wack: Like "I'll just not say anything maybe he won't notice the roof has more holes than Swiss cheese" or "maybe he'll still buy it if I come down to $600".
Ya don't think you can just rip the vinyl off and throw some kitty hair on it and make it like new??? (just kiddin') HA HA, Didn't you mean, "and make it like Meeyew! LOL!! It was beyond kitty hair. I'm thinking 4 door convertable.
Sorry about that John, that was a rip.:glasses7:
It was a fun ride, great doughnuts, great scenery, and great company. Seeya next time!! Rog
Brother,
I roll by the best deal you ever made was something that you did not buy.
There is a better deal the next day when your cash is gone.
Tip buy you a cheap motercycle to scope out potential deals. Put a down payment on it if you like it.
You can run a bike all day on less than $20 bucks
I should have waited and offered scrap price. That stinks that it didnt work out for you.
Maybe it did you good to get pi**ed and leave a nasty note. Like you said, it was a Maverick, take it or leave it, no big deal.
Haha I agree, I can't stand that saying 'it is what it is' either!! :wack:
Nice job on the shirt!
