DentalDart wire em up to the orange dash wiring this way they will dim and brighten with the rest of the dash lights with the headlight switch dimmer.
Rumble Rumble! We are done! Mechanical guages work great! Idling at 900 and boy am I excited to start laying some rubber!
Thanks @70aarcuda and all my friends in here for the help!
Great sounding exhaust! What mufflers are you running?
Well I gotta say, they sound awesome! Nice masculine exhaust note. Thanks and I agree.
Super old- hooker comp headers, 2.5in exhaust and flowmaster 40s. I bet the stuff is from the 90s. Now I'm torn if I should change them up.
All I did was tinfoil and water the exhaust tips to make me shine.
same as i had on my 73' challenger. got some nasty letters from the home owners association after going to work at 3am a couple timesSuper old- hooker comp headers, 2.5in exhaust and flowmaster 40s.

I like loud though.
Tried driving it again... it did the same sputter thing from the other day... but this time the car also died... it will turn over and instantly dies. My daughter said "I think it's out of gas, you should get more gas... dad you should call your friend to come fix it..." thanks for the vote of confidence you little ****...

That's one fine looking automobile right there! Nice job on the build, I've been following along since I'm in a similar boat.
So, it will start up , idle, rev up in park/ neutral ok ? But doesn't want to move when placed in drive or reverse?? Check tranny level when warmed up, in neutral, on a level surface ( on street, wheels turned into curb) or block wheels ; with your helper in the house.
Try and new ballast resistor, and the little chick knows a good mechanic....Tried driving it again... it did the same sputter thing from the other day... but this time the car also died... it will turn over and instantly dies. Believe me, we all feel your pain after getting one thing done, and then something else pops up. Too much tranny oil is worse than a little low from what I've read. I know nothing regarding the locar cable system, maybe trace it back to the tranny connection? Hopefully one of the numerous pros chime in soon!
Have you verified the position of the throttle valve arm on the transmission?
Justin, take air cleaner off and see if choke is slammed shut. It can also keep a engine from running not allowing enough air in carb. If the choke is shut, open it up and place a long screw driver or something else to keep from closing and see if it will stay running.

Agree, check timing . Also possible: I had a carb / intake gasket that was crap once that allowed enough of a vacuum leak to cause the engine to die when put into gear but it would idle fine. If I gave it enough gas( pump shot) it would go but was sluggish.might want to make sure the distributor has not moved...check the timing...
