Actually put a taller chair in the guitar side..
Yes I would like to get a strat as well and five string it with the g tune...Sounds like your making good progress! I went to buy me a new delay pedal a few days ago and started looking at the new guitars and I picked up this HSS player stratocaster and it spoke to me, I couldn't believe the quality of the new Mexican strats, needless to say, it followed me home, oh well, I'll have to save up again for my delay pedal!

Yes, they are nice. the price went up though . I believe they are $600-$650 ish? The Mexican standard used to be $499. I have both an older standard from 2011 and a player I bought when they came out in 2018 I believe. I paid $649 in 2011 and $600 for the player in 2018. I have gigged with both, and like that they are good playable gig worthy guitars but not high end. OP if you aare so inclined and ready ,check out Musicians friend or Sweetwater, get a credit line. You can buy a higher end guitar sometimes for 6 or 12 months same as cash.Sounds like your making good progress! They are $779.00 now for the HSS version, but now they have better alnico pickups. I've had several older Mexicans with the ceramic pickups in the past and I liked them even. I had a Gibson les paul standard and I sold it, it was a 1992 model, I didn't like it, probably just got a bad one but that ruined me on them, I took it to a professional to have it set up better and there was no adjustment left on the truss rod.Yes, they are nice. the price went up though . I got a shocking surprise today! LOL that guitar that I thought if it ever got here would be here in a few weeks was here when I got home!!....
I pulled it out and I'm very pleasantly surprised it's a metallic gold!!..
I immediately run down to the music shop and get a strap for it and a holder..
Come back home and plug it in and tune the strings...
Holy smokes this thing has a huge amount of sound that comes out of it...
As a matter of fact I almost have to hold the strings to make it not make noise...
I noticed the front ends are a little sharper than on my Jackson.. I guess this is called an Austin classic?... It has four knobs instead of two like my Jackson and I'm pretty certain it's the two for the back are for the back pickup in the two for the front or for the front pickup.. again though this makes one huge amount of more sound...

It's really odd how it feels and how different it sounds... But like you said fun.. it makes my distortion settings extremely personified compared to the Jackson...nice looking axe, I’m glad to hear it’s got a strong presence, LP’s are known for that as well. That should give you something to play with.
Cool. I've been playing since the mid 80s, played for 2 signed bands, wrote and performed my own music (and lyrics) much of what is a prediction, or warning of current events. Also was givin air time on 98 Rock( biggest Station) here in Tampa Bay. I still am learning. If you want to get really good , practice alot. And develop appropriate appreciation for other music that ain't yer favorite. If you like country, learn a lil Bluegrass ,if you are a raging Metal Head, dig some classical, If yer a bluesman, maybe jazz. But it does help to learn the basics first. But if you like pop, learn your 3 chord money riffs.. if you like rap and hip-hop,well, maybe learn Rave / dance elements? Who lnowsBought a electric guitar...
Gets here Wednesday...
I need something to keep my brain busy..
Overnight sensation... NO...
Next Eddy Han Halen... NO...
From what I can research on the internet if I was to play it a half hour a day it would probably take 3 months just to be able to be at beginner level and then intermediate level would probably be somewhere in the one year to two years..
And to be pretty good with it probably looking at 4 years. And expert probably a lot longer than that...
And all of that is probably playing at least a half hour every single day...
Generally I'm a fast learner and I don't tend to have a lot of give up in me so I'm seeing where these two immovable forces will take me..
Anyways I'd like to give it a try which is more than I've done in the past...
I'm wondering if anybody else has went down this road and how far they got?...
Well, our lil Friends from down there do have some pride in their work. Some of them love our cars some of them love our guitars most everything I've seen built from there, beat the **** out of some crap from ChinaSounds like your making good progress! I've financed quite a few guitars that way. Same as cas no interest if paid in the time allotted. Usually 6 months. I have a few se.u high end guitars that way a few artis series. Its the same money only I don't wait 6 months for the guitar I don't have to play cheap Chinese **** either..if you pay cash great you are either rich or have used **** the rest of us don't live that way thats not the way this country works a new truck costs a years salary...Anything I have is paid for or I save and buy cash... Everything...
Well I won't hit the disagree button here and start a stink, but I'm neither rich nor do I have used s*** LOL... Nor do I have a brand new truck... I can't afford a brand new truck and don't want to wait 8 years to pay for one cash.. if you look at my thread on restoration part of the Forum I do have a 74 that I'm doing a frame off restoration on $500 at a time in lieu of a brand new track. My plan is to put all the modern conveniences in it...I've financed quite a few guitars that way. Same as cas no interest if paid in the time allotted. Usually 6 months. Great tip!.. thanks.....FYI-
You can raise and lower the pickups in relation to the strings.
That's what the screws on the sides do.
Putting the magnetic pole pieces closer will give a hotter sound.
