65 Valiant Signet
Mine is running at about 50% on 'Low Flow", I had it set that way before.. My return/vent line is only 3/8 inch and the manual pump is keeping my input low side pressure at about 4 PSI
I read a lot of these post on diff. fuel inj. systems, thinking I might learn something. Don`t get me wrong I am "not" an expert on any f.inj. system, but I have had none of the troubles w/ my fast 2.0 like you all are talking about. LUCKY ????????A reply email from Cody at FiTech as to what other issues the update fixed: "Glad to hear that it fixed your issue. The file you had must have gotten corrupted somehow, either way the new software changed the RPM noise filtering to be adjustable on the handheld, added and changed some handheld options for setting your idle in the initial setup menu, and then a few background fuel mapping adjustments for cleaning up some transient fuel tables. If you have any other questions or concerns please let us know." More to know, I just saw this photo that a user had, I need to ensure I have the updated harness......

UCUDANT,famous Bob, remember we are only hearing about the problems. Those whose installs went well seldom look back to post a good review. The sad thing is the less technical knowledge someone has they can miss a problem and suffer damage. (I just saw someone already asking questions about a car he had installed a unit in and when I asked he had not even input his engine data and set the IAC). Those burnt pins might be due to a less than optimal vehicle ground back to the battery.
I noticed that my hand held was picking up an RPM reading key on engine off.....so that meant the accompanying noise was the unit injecting. I share what I can here to help all those who have also shared. Some folks have had great luck with the Fitech, my self included. I did not just try and slap in in any car doing the bare minimum though either, I used a new fuel tank even though mine was still perfect, I already had new fuel lines. I made sure I vented my FCC back to the tank as prescribed. I grounded my unit well. I made sure the filter was installed in the correct direction (a FiTech pic showed it incorrectly but the unit has an arrow) I tried to take my time and get it all done correctly. The Fast users have had issues too, and I'd bet not all are knowledgeable enough to fix issues that they themselves may be caused, the same hold true for the FiTech. The RPM issues are probably due to aftermarket ignitions boxes, bad spark plug wires etc.

Last update I got was by contacting FiTech then they emailed me the zip file with the update.
You would think updates would be much easier to get. Its like a big secret
Guess ur probly right. I did have a problem when I first tried to set the fuel pressure, turned out I had plugged the new, original pick up since it was not being used, " dual pick ups at rear of tank." Much like everything else I do, (over do most things) I plugged the pickup tube inside and out side. And forgot about the inside plug when I used the orig. p/up for a return line. Bout pulled my hair out till I talked to Dave at fast, then it hit me when he told me it sounded like my return was plugged! Thank GOD for smart people!A quick google of Fast 2.0 and you will find pages and pages of problems just like in here. Basically like most in here a lack of understanding the new technology and rightly so. Thats what these forums are for, help.
BTW. I put my FiTech on with no problems.
UCUDANT,
Where do I get the update?
Thanks,
Marion
not sure but I don't see why not , when I spoke to Johnny at Pace about it he said my MSD pro billet 2 wire wzs the one to use but I would need the adjustable rotor , theres a procedure for setting the initial that requires the rotor to be set up according to a setting in the controller .I'm just about to try my hand at letting the unit control timing. Would this be an ok distributor to get? TSP Mopar Pro Series Pro Billet Distributor JM7613BK | eBay Thanks
That looks like the one I got from Pace but double check. I'm controlling timing with mine.I'm just about to try my hand at letting the unit control timing. Would this be an ok distributor to get? TSP Mopar Pro Series Pro Billet Distributor JM7613BK | eBay Thanks
Hey guys, remember im still here, just changed my screen name when i started with blueprint. I have a complete distributor line, coils, etc in the "parts" tab on our home page. That looks like the one I got from Pace but double check. I'm controlling timing with mine.
Like I said, I am far from an expert, but why not buy a locked dist. to start with ? MSD makes one . Wish I`d gone that way, the short chevy type dist FAST sells , took a he-l of a bunch of head grinding to get clearance.Quick question, what's the easiest way to lock out the centrifugal advance on that distributor???
