I dont play in that sandbox, cant even see it from here!
I like that, seasoned. Been watching the market for a couple years now, few are as well done as yours, Sir. Its easily a 6 figure car in todays market based on comparison. My big concerns on the car I'm looking at are the hidden, overlooked surprises."seasoned"
Technically, there were no 1970 Daytona Chargers built. There is something amiss with that one.I was watching a Mecum sale yesterday. A '70 Hemi Daytona. Reserve went off at 2 mil and last and final bid was 3 mil! There are cars, and then there are cars! Crazy is it not!?
I guess I should have said '69 Daytona, ya know, the winged wonder like the SuperBird.Technically, there were no 1970 Daytona Chargers built. There is something amiss with that one.

Lastly, if I'm spending your $80k , I'm buying this one and spending the remaining $20k on whatever engine rebuild or swap your heart desires.

Honestly I'd probably buy this for less money, it's at least a 383 car (not wild about the FJ5 and '69 stripe). Used 1970 Dodge Charger 500 Sublime Green 383 4 Barrel Carb For Sale ($44,995) | Cassandra Motorsports Stock #10396
Glad to.Here is one in Topeka . Have @harrisonm go look at it . He lives in Topeka.
For Sale: 1970 Dodge Charger R/T in Topeka, Kansas
Well it was NOT a clean somewhat original car. It leaked every fluid, they painted over rust, bondo chunks were falling off, missing body plug under the carpet the list goes on. So does the search. A BIG thank you to everyone who took a look and chimed in to help me!!But seriously folks $80K I would think that is a clean somewhat original car with low miles and maybe a repaint etc.
Thanks for the eyes on it report!Well it was NOT a clean somewhat original car. In these situations I go in with the mentality 'you will have to convince me why I should buy' rather than just I want it because I can. It's not always easy to take the emotional part out of your decision making process, but it will save you from making a big mistake. Of course you also need to see it up close with a critical eye too.I know a lot of people put a lot of effort in to keeping me from making a mistake. Sometimes its hard going into this situation with a healthy dose of realism. There will be more rust popping through in 3-5 years. It wont be me.
@missing linc Its all your fault, you sold me that model!! lol
