I'm thoroughly disgusted. Went to bolt on my front valance/gravel pan today. I paid the body shop to straighten it and paint it. When I went to bolt it on the car I proceeded to snug the two bolts up that connect the valance to the right fender. I heard a slight pop and I stopped. I proceeded to look to see if something was wrong and when I looked at the top right corner where it connects to the fender there was a crack. As I further inspected the crack I found that the body shop filled it with approximately an 1/8th of an inch thick coat of body filler. Instead of properly straightening it they packed it full of body filler. If it had been done properly there would have been a lite coat no more the thickness of a credit card instead of an 1/8th inch thick. The valance had no rust in it whatsoever and just needed some tweeking and some very lite body work to fill any imperfections. So now I'm going to have to go buy a new valance which is 300 bucks because I'm not chancing someone's shoddy work again along with paint ( base-clear ) have the paint scanned and matched then have it painted..That along with having to fix the 600 dollar dash bezel that's flaking black paint off at the bottom. It's getting disappointing and disgusting at the amount of money people charge for their "professional services" along with these restoration parts dealers and their expensive pricing then having to go back and spend additional money to correct their mistakes.
