massive reconfiguration time again.

Well of all the wiring this has probably been one of the more stressful things because I've drilled holes in my floorboard before to put it on the floor next to the clutch. I've attached it to my steering wheel with the long squiggly cord trying to let it go with my finger and that didn't work. So I knew this was going to be a real head-scratcher today but I need to get it figured out!
SOME BEACH! I butted the control button against the back of the clutch pedal and put a zip tie around it and I'll be dipped in poop! That damn thing is good to go!
FYI Two Step installation takes about 7 seconds! LOL

Hope your wife's surgery goes well. Any time you cut open a human body things can go sideways in a hurry.

As for the two step, make sure that as soon as your foot barely starts to move the switch let's the two step go. If you end up with the switch not letting go of the two step at the instant the pedal starts to move, the engine/clutch will go down in RPM rather than up. It's not a parts killer on NA stuff, but it will make it harder to tune with the two step. On blown stuff it will start nipping ring lands in low gear and by 1000 feet it will pull the top ring off and poop hits the fan.

BTW, I did a lot of typing at the hospital and the in laws house. And waiting in the parking lot for them to go shopping and what not. I multi task.

Amazing.
Everytime you push the clutch in the engine will drop to the first step. That's just amazing. Course what if you're winding out when you go to shift and all of a sudden the rpm drops to the 3000 RPM limit wouldn't that kind of screw with your ET.

Do you slam your clutch all the way to the floorboard every time you shift when you're drag racing?

I'd say the first quarter of my pedal is FreePlay and about halfway the clutch is disengaged. I'd say that last half is just extra?

That's why you should have a relay in the system and make it so it only comes on in low gear. I don't push the clutch all the way in to shift, but I still use a relay and a switch so it only comes on in low gear.

What the hell relay? You haven't even got the damn thing in!

I put a pink automatic in the duster for my wife, but she didn't like it.

i bet if a person didn't have both legs it would be hard to use the clutch at times.

YR your 1st gear relay idea is a great way to fix the problem of over clutching.

I reckon a person with one leg could put the clutch on the shifter if need be. And are you saying you have one leg or are you just pulling mine?

What I really want to do is reward myself with a nice long nap for saving myself so many hours of painstaking work. Unfortunately I seem to become of an age that I can't sleep anymore dammit!

I never said I have one leg. Being diabetic I guess it's possible eventually tho.

I was just making a statment to pull your leg. So we didn't have to hear the really men and women drive 4 speeds because not everybody can.

Now you keep working on the car. I'll take a nap for you in the meantime.

MELLO. MELLO

Even though it's true the 4 speed and the girl thing and the automatic whatever LOL take that nap for me please I sure appreciate it I would love one so bad.

I'm underneath this dadgum Durango and I can't find what to set the backlash at on a used set of 3.91s with new bearings. If you're out there at the moment post the backlash for me someone I'm J paring this thing.

I'm at .008 at the moment on the backlash and 125fp on the carrier adjusters.

I think between .007-.015

And once again LOL back to the subject at hand...
THE MASSIVE RECONFIGURATION?
Got the 6al completely mounted in the glove box. Can't find the little piece the latch latches on. And YES I got the two step completely completed. I felt to many wires were getting there power from the one fused wire coming off the starter through the firewall to the solenoid. So, I had a heavy wire for that crazy loud Summit electric fuel pump still plumbed from front to back. I rerouted that wire, utilizing it fused of course between the disconnect switch in the back to quite a few of the wires that needed power. Also installed and connected up the steering column.

It is downright crazy how long it's taking to get this thing wired. I think just a couple more switches a couple more hot wires and a couple more ground wires and I'll be able to start zip tying and tucking everything. Another full day, EASY...

I like this first peekaboo picture if you will. Put the camera part of the phone through the wing window on the driver side. Pretty much got everything all hooked up I think I may need to put a hot wire to something that no big deal everything is looking good and I even started on another project. My hole in the hood!

I even tried seeing what the seat would look like just kind of mocking it up in there and getting some Armor All on it to start softening it.

Got it all back together finally. Set the backlash at .0075.
Went to start it and the battery was almost dead. It's on the charger now. Test drive in the morning.
Hopefully I can put new tires on it and license and title it tomorrow.
I had to J par this thing just like you did your truck. I had to put new brake lines on it, new water pump in it, new brakes on the front, new trac lock in the rear, all new bearings in the rear, new brakes on the rear.
