more truth about Obama

thats why they will never have a draft again either. you should know this book worm. too many people cried about being drafted into vietnam.

As a reply to the original post, if one will study the trend of the US goverment in the last 50 or so years, then that individual will see that indeed the US has done nothing more than move closer and closer to a communist dictatorship, hence the reference to Hitler. It's almost amazing at how close we have come to becoming exactly what we have always fought against.

As a reply to the rest of the thread, I would say that I support neither of the candidates for the upcoming election, and even as I AM a registered democrat, we, as in this country, should no longer worry about is it Republican or Democrat, but we should worry more on what the best "investment" for our country is. The balance of this nation is so unstable at this time that we can all only hope that whichever one of the two makes office is the right one for the job for possibly the next eight years of our lives. There seriously needs to be some attention given to the way things are run and decided in ths nation, and as we can see, neither of these is up to the PEOPLE any longer, because the government has decided to make what ever decision it chooses, not what the people choose/recommend by voting.

Just my humble opinion, but I am NOT willing to close my mind to listen to what others have to say, if we all close our minds and think that our own ways are the only ways to go, then unfortunately we are all doomed.

you dont have a choice.

I know I dont have a choice. If I get drafted I get drafted my first post was kind of a joke but then everyone started on my *** about it and like i said before both of the canidates blow so I really dont care who gets in both are bad choices. I never expected for what I posted to get strung out like it did if I offended anyone im sorry.

That video sounds like some serious strong arm tactics. I wonder if they have their guns drawn when they confront you? LOL this election is starting to get good.

It's strange how so many guys have bashed "conservatives" during this conversation, and at the same time condemned it as a "liberal" bashing thread.

Amazing.

All I stated was that the current Democratic Party in America has become the "Liberal Socialist" movement. Just a political fact. I'm a registered Dem, and used to believe in what they stood for.......But things have changed.

And yes, this is the "General Discussion" section. If you don't like politics, don't read it or get involved. Last time I looked out the window, it was still a free country, and we enjoy the right to freedom of speech......that's something my Dad and many more in my family fought and even died for......to give you that right.

You want to talk cars? Go to a different section, or just stay off these types of threads. Pretty simple. FABO is one of the greatest sites of it's kind on the web........Don't insult it by being a whiner or slanderer.......Talk honestly and have a little respect........Let's not start acting like Congress.

Um, Hitler wasn't communist.

Hitler was the extreme right wing. Stalin was extreme left wing.

I know Naziism was called "national socialism", but it was actually fascism. 180* from socialism/communism.

Yes we have come closer and closer to our former enemies. Spying on our own people, suppressing any form of dissent, Eliminating or severely curtailing due process, waging "pre-emptive" wars. They had a "fatherland" and now we've got a "homeland".

"History doesn't repeat itself, but sometimes it rhymes." -Winston Churchill. Hmm, Churchill is kind of a lefty for this forum.

How about Hermann Goering? He's only slightly to the left of Hannity.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and DENOUCE THE PEACEMAKERS FOR LACK OF PATRIOTISM and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."

I like that, So the towers were just a minor blip on the radar screen? How quickly people forget. We as a nation were pulled into a war under the same tactics not so long ago. Of course back then we had people in this country that had a sense of loyalty and patriotism to stand behind our Country. I know not everyone agrees on the reasons and outcomes of the war in Iraq but, We still have troops over there putting their lives in danger to keep the same thing from repeating itself. As a nation I think we are so wrapped up in ourselves that we just don't care about anyone or anything unless it makes us "look" bad or gets a little uncomfortable.

I sure wish I knew where the great leaders of this country are when we need them. I sure don't see any in Washington now or getting there any time soon:(:(:(

Well said.

The question is, if there were a great leader to emerge, would they be successful? Could they get elected, and then accomplish anything while trying to buck the (corrupt) system? I'm not sure if any of these greedy bastards in Washington would put up with an HONEST, LOYAL, and MORAL politician amongst them

Somehow speaking anything negative about McCain makes you anti-american!
Having any other opinion other than the republican one makes you a communist/antisocial/nazi w/murderous intent! Same tactics that worked the last election, I say let McCain win and you will all be turning your back on him in four years like your favorite son George W.( who was going to "Give us a better life") because everything will be so messed up (like now) you won't want to admit he's in your party like you are now with George W. Then you'll be running againest your own party like McCain is now and everything will be hunky-dorey! With this I will no longer make any political comments on this site.

The great leader(s) of our country have shown themselves and have either not taken the chance to run or have been denied the chance to run. One of the best examples I can think of lately was General Colin Powell. What a great president he would have made. Not only for his knowledge of military tactics but for the things he believed in, and for what he believed was right. There have been others that have come about in recent time, but he is the best example I can think of for now.

Yeah well I didn't vote for the guy that owned half the oil in Texas, but he still made it into office. I will agree that we did not need to pull out of Iraq as for the safety of our own country, but when does enough become enough?? The problem with the US and the reason that half or more of the rest of the world hates us is because we try to impose what we are about on everyone. And, in most cases it is not any of our business to get involved. the other problem with the US is that in the grand scheme of things it is a very YOUNG nation to have so much power, and we walk in and try to tell nations that have run successfully for much longer than we have how they need to change the way that they do things.

My biggest question here is when is AMERICA going to start taking care of itself again and quit worrying so much about everyone else??

You know a lot of people so far have down-graded the democrats, but who was the last president to get America out of the RED, so what if he got a blowie in the oval office?? And who was the last president that put America in more of a financial bind than it has ever been?? Either way I'm not replying to argue which is the better party here. I just think that this thread has started to get out of proportion. I don't like Obama!! And I don't like McCain!! I don't think either of them will be a worthy president and I may not go to the polls for either of them at all.

HE LEARNED FROM A LEFT LEANING TEXT BOOK AND TEACHER PROBLY .

One I am glad the they do not use the draft because that would make the senior NCO's job harder . At least we have people that vol. to serve.

Two If you listen to the messiah he will ruin this country by taxing us to death

Three If he is elected you will lose your right to purchace weapons that you can right now.

Four we need to reduce the size of gov. not enlarge it.

KId I am willing to listen to anybodys opp. but at least listen to others also.

This is what pisses me off the most.this is not towards you in general. The president is not only in charge of the nation but is allso comander in cheif of the armed forces.I mean he is at the top of the food chain and cometed adultry. Which in the armed forces is a article 15 and you can goto jail or get kicked out of the milatary with a dishonarable dishcharge.which men and woman have been kicked out for it. So every time somebody says he had sex in the oval office and its no big deal. I get very pissed off about it. I think they ought to make it a law that to be president you have to have served 3 or more years in the armed forces or you can not run for office. thanks Mopar658)

Yes son, you offended me and I'm sure many others. Many of us fought in Vietnam and weren't crazy about it. Many of us did not fight in a war but are veterans nonetheless and every one of us is proud to be a veteran. I understand you didn't mean "exactly" what you said but there must be something good about this country......we have many people trying to "legally" come over here. Some are even willing to join the service just to move up on the citizenship list.
