What a great thread!
All of this bickering and arguing over a car that probably will never be bought by any of the keyboard therapists on here.
And i bet that 99% of the people on here wouldn't have the means to buy one of these new Hello Kitty Demons if they did in fact want one.
They are just as affordable and practical now as a new '71 Hemi Cuda convertible was back then.
Just be glad they make them, not like the FWD piles of crap performance wise they were building in the '80s and beyond.
These, my friends, are going to be ''the good old days'' 30 years from now and most of you don't realize it yet.
My dad refused to buy my brother a '70 340 4 speed Swinger repo that was almost new because of all of the ''pollution control crap'' that was on it.
People are scared of change, and that has always been the case, it's nothing new.
So, keep arguing and belittling each other..........

They are saying the car in this video is likely to be the Demon. Based on timing of the release of the movie on the same day as the NY Auto Show.
 
I heard those might be the ADR but Mopar Connection posted an article stating that an inside source told them the Demon will also have the widebody setup and have 18x11 wheels and 315s all around.

Ya but the '71 cuda was built here and by AMERICANS..these pieces of **** new ones are assembled in Canada with a motor built in Mexico by a company owned by the Italians..ain't got NOTHING to do with AMERICAN muscle:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:..maybe Trump will put a big *** tax on them too:D:D

Sooooo let me get this straight. Guys bitched for years about lack of power in cars. That they all became "commuter shitboxes". So finally companies started listening. Building "cool" cars with more power, classic styling cues, better looks BUT that still started everytime. Had A/C. Command start. High end stereos. Heated seats. All the bullshit WE wanted.

And STILL people complained. They wanted MORE. MORE. MORE. So companies and the aftermarket added more power. Better interior comforts. More options. More more more.

So now. Here we are with a car that will have in-excess of 700 horsepower. It will have A/C that will cool your nuts so bad that you'll turn into an Eskimo. A stereo that will blow your ears off if you turn it to 11. Seats that will cup your *** so well you'll think you're getting a thai *** massage. It will go to the store and get milk right after running a sub 12 second 1/4. That will start when its +30C or -30C. It'll drive your lazy *** to work and home day in and day out.

And STILL you people are complaining? Over what? The fact it says Demon on it?

THIS IS WHAT YOU GUYS WERE ASKING FOR OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS. Ever since the muscle car era ended. Guys like us have asked for it back. Here it is. The second coming. And all we can do is *****?

Pull your heads out of your asses. Seriously. Enjoy the fact that cars like this even exist.

Not this guy I wouldn't buy ANYTHING mopar has made in 40+ years..their styling dept. sucks!! I'll take the stang' over that thing every day!!

I used to say that Mustangs were for girls, but the modern ones are startin' to look sorta tuff the last few years...

So my buddy has a Z07 vette. Looks like a stealth bomber on wheels, carbon fiber everywhere, handles and MOVES. I'm glad Mopar is doing what they do, it would be nice to have a car that makes him feel bad about owning a chevy. BTW I was there during the muscle car era and the smog crap after that and the dangerously slow gas milage offerings after that. After this muscle car era cycles thru, I won't be around when it comes again. These are the good old days!!!!!!

Since when has anyone ever bitched about more hp, im against the name not what the car is or how much hp its going to have.

Really reread my post, i meant whatever the car will look like and the horsepower im cool with, im glad its going to have close to 800 hp i just dont think it should be named the demon unless it somewhat resembles a demon. The demon didnt have dual headlights and it didn't have two rectangular plain tail lights. Without the iconic single headlight and the sectioned taillights its just another challenger to me. Plenty of other names they could of used idk why they just dont keep it hell cat

The Hellcat originally put out around 850 but they detuned it to 707 to pass emissions and I heard they said "be sure you're sitting down when the Demon numbers are released" so it could be up toward 900hp

If so it will receive a nod from me, its just hard to see the demon name on a challenger even if its a more modern twist. Maybe it will educate some people that have no dea what the original demon is.

I just think the could of kept it the hellcat but named that particular package something different under the hellcat badge like if it had 900 hp name it the hellcat 9 or something
