OK..got some more .030 and back to the under side...got them all welded up on the back side and was finishing a few details on top when i ran out of gas.....not personally....just the welder.

So it's supposed to blizzard tonight (yea right feels like 38 deg outside and wind from the south) anyway if it misses us i get anew tank tomorrow and then finish up.

Friday is the tearing into the front end and the more I look at it the more i wish it would go away...

How do you like these?

Well I got the floor pans ground down scuffed up and painted today...yeah!

Looking pretty clean now so I will move on to the engine bay. I still have to do the underside but I will get to that in a bit....I still need to weld in the frame rail connectors.

Keepin on

Finally got the garage cleaned up and the car turned around....beautiful weather this weekend. Finally!

So I spent time grinding out all the crap and getting to the working metal.

I have a few small areas to clean up but I think I'm ready to sand blast the rest. I salvaged all the parts I'm going to need from the Demon clip. Lots of spotweld drilling but I got it all apart.

I started scraping all the old undercoating off so I can sandblast the paint.

Busy work week so I am going to be slower as I get further into it.

Looking like 2012 for unveiling.

We'll see.

Well I picked up the engine today...looks sweet. I couldn't help but set the intake in place to see what it's gonna look like.

Looks pretty sweet to me. So now I gotta get going on the rust work again but in the mean time....I got a new sculpture for my office.

Enjoy,

Thanks...and yea she's real lucky :-D

If she was any luckier she'd have already replaced me with a working model.

Naw...she'd pretty stoked. I showed her the motor tonight and she thought it looked real cool...:toothy10:

So more work to do and more pics to come.....later.

Looking real good. Some of those inner fender/frame rail pictures almost had me thinking flashback. Keep it up.

More tear down happened this Friday.

got the K frame out and the frame wheeler in place.

Did a bunch of sandblasting over the last few days and have about half the stuff done....couple more days then off to powder coater.

Got the trans back today but the builder did not clean the case very well...:-?

So I will clean it myself along with more parts. It's almost warm enough to get back outside and grind out the last of the metal and get the welding back on.

Enjoy

Been busy with spring cleaning and trying to keep my business floating so I am off the hard stuff and onto the hard stuff....Details, details.

Here is the restored heater box and windshield wiper motor/gear box restored. Took th etime to clean the comutator, brushes and re-grease the bushings.

Yes I painted the heater box....it looked like crap/scratched up so I did a low sheen black. It will look great under the dash.

Used the Detroit Muscle heater box kit...worked sweet. Had no idea there was so much foam in these things. I have replaced heater cores in old Mopars before but none had foam left in them....so that's why they all leaked hot air!:tongue10:

More detail work to come....is all about the details.

Few more.

I have been working on the grills....disassembled and started restoring them my self as far as I can. Sandblasted all the framework and the park light housings and re-painted/cleared them. Polished the factory parking light bezel..looks pretty good somehow these survived where all teh other chrome did not.

Sent the big chrome grill bezels off to a plater/fixer...they had issues.

Gonna treat with the egg-crate locally. I know the finish should be anodized but for sake of $$$ I can have my friend Mike CR plate them with his new AL system...it will be brighter than OEM but that's OK.

Jackson Plating in KCMO.....plug.

So here is that work so far....one little thing every day.

Enjoy.

Looking great Mop................... love the attention to the details... :thumblef:

I would like to be able to "send" my front bezels off somewhere. I removed the anodized and buff them out myself. I will never do that again!!

Top notch work mop... as always.
