Are you a believer in what people say about the Sac track compared to Sonoma? Most run faster times at Sac and slower at Sonoma. So some think maybe the last half of the track in Sac is down hill slightly.

Very nice. They say the right lane is faster then the left at SAC, but might be a timing issue.

Was thinking about this Friday night TnT..but they have a nostalgia reunion event on saturday..and want 90 bucks for the test n tune for friday night...nawh.......cancel that idea.....wait until they have a saturday bracket race and run the TnT friday night bracket race Saturday...got free lodging at my mom house too..lol

My experiance is Sac is faster. Sears has that dreaded head wind. Sac has cross winds. Although a day race at sears when there is little wind it could be close, maybe better due to prep.

HI Bob
440 RB, je domed pistons, 12.7.1, MCH RPM heads 76cc, mopar .590 cam, isky solid rockers victor int, holley 950 HP, 727 reverse pattern, 5000 ultimate converter, dana 60 4.56 gear, 31x10,5 hoosier slicks.

I think there's a 10.0? as it sits in the right conditions. Over winter i'm going to redo the cage and tie it to the chassis connectors, lexan the rear and side windows, change the KH discs for wilwoods and try a 1050 QF dominator i've got.
It would be nice to drop into the 9's, with this combo but hey ho as they say.

well i got a new best with my car last weekend. they was only racing 1/8 mile so my best pas was a 6.86 at 99.62 with a 60 foot of 1.50. all passes were made on 93 pump gas and i am going to put this car on the street next year, all i need is to buy some mufflers. also weighed my car last Sunday and with me in the car, a all steel 73 dodge dart with a 440 weighed 3520 pounds.wow one or both of us need to lose some weight.lol going to got out next weekend for the last race of the year and see if i can get this car to run some 6.70 in the 1/8. Mopar65

Finally broke into the tens May 12th, following much work and $$. Best 10.96 at 122.14 MPH with 1.56 short. Backed that up with a 10.97 same MPH next pass. 419 stroker, W2 iron heads, AED 950 Super Mod, Cam motion solid roller .680 lift, 727 rollerized, low gear set, Dynamic vert. 4.30 spool 8-3/4. Best short time dead hook on fresh glue 1.49. Looking for 10.80's and consistent.

I wanted to also add an update--

I switched to ladder bars from my super stock springs-which would rarely dead hook. I had traction issues for a long time man....

The car loves the ladders ! Last week it went 6.40 at 106.6 , with a best of 1.39 60' .

It drives like a completely diff car---VERY smooth and instantly lifts the front tires on launch .

Hey,guys,I am new here and terrible with computers,so I am just going to ask a question and hopefully someone can help me! I have a 71 Demon,418 stroker,on nitrous etc.went to Castrol raceway in Edmonton Alberta 2 weekends ago. When I went to get teched,my master cutoff switch wouldnt kill the thing.I got help from Darth who is on this site. His father gave me advice over the phone. The alternator is feeding power back through the wiring harness and wont allow me to kill it with the switch.Rick(Darths father) said I could run a wire from the alternator straight back to the battery. This is acceptable but, I am scared that this situation is going to cause a short and burn me down.Any advice on what is causing the alternator to do this? I basically only changed 2 things in the electrical system this season;1.Transmission brake was added,2.Now triggering the n20 off the throttle.Cant find melted wires, and everything works great, just cant shut the car off with the master.Help!!

Not sure on your wiring , but Yes---run a wire back to your switch or battery. Not a big deal. Thats how mine is. Just be very careful how you route it--if it goes near any sharp edges, headers, etc.. try to move it OR you can put a piece of rubber fuel line around it where ever it looks like it might rub.

I actually just re-did mine last week because it chaffed on my frame rail...also checked and re-did ALL of my wiring. My main/hot Alt wire doesnt go thru the stock harness--just right to the batt.
