May be hard to tell or see in the pictures, but the top of my radiator has a "dent" on top...Is there a way to straighten it..? Heat it first then somehow "pop" it back to shape...?

You could buy an inexpensive PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) kit. I bought one for under $30 delivered. It may be your easy fix, plus you can always use it on something you own. Check them out for more info. Amazon has them too, that's where I got mine.

I would take it to a paintless dent guy and see what they say.

But the most correct way to fix it is to remove the top cap and straighten

Another vote for leaving it alone. The dent in the tank is cosmetic, but it wouldn't be too hard to pop/crack the 50+ year old solder between the tank and the core trying to fix the tank. And then your cosmetic issue has turned into a functional issue.

Only way I’ve ever done it is removing the tank, tapping them out and resoldering it. If it’s really bothering you, clean it real well, tin, fill and shape with solder

If you are really concerned about it, call Bob at Glen Ray, he restores them. He can answer your question. He is located in Wausau, Wisconsin. Maybe your radiator is do for a restoration anyway.
