Red Headed Stepchild-75 Swinger LSX Swap

Went to go take the care around the neighborhood and she didn't wanna let me give her any gas, so I basically got to put it in drive and idle rpm it around. Still bringing big smiles to everyone in the neighborhood knowing it is back mobile again.

Ill be looking as some things but not going to spend a ton of time messing with the injector tuning just yet, seeing as my 225s come in Thursday, so ill be switching over to them anyway. I still have to get a new FPR gauge seeing as mine just doesn't seem to be working. I want to make sure I have my fuel pressure dialed in exactly before I change too much.

Have to get on the horn with HPS next week to see about setting up a dyno session with them as well. Thinking about leaving the hoosiers on there until after the dyno session is over with anyway, but we will see.

No crazy updates like i've been know to do after a weekend, but with the 4th the kids an di just celebrated after I got done changing brakes on a friends car.

The street radial pros did show up today. But for some reason it won't let me upload pictures.

Got the 80lb injectors removed today and the 2500s installed.

Pulled the non functioning fyel pressure regualtor gauge out and ordered another one. It'll be here Thursday.

I also sent my tune file off to Dave Katz at Efi Specialties. He has been tuning my cars since i was 16. Never had any issues whatsoever with anything he has ever done for me so it only seemed right to go back to him.

And since he is reworking the tune I went ahead and swapped out my 2.5 bar gm map sensor for a 5 bar holley. Which will also be here Thursday.

I got my co2 bottle filled for the boost control and also got some plastic to mold for my apr side mirror mounts. Hopefully have those installed by this weekend to.

I'll be dling a boost leak test tomorrow and then if the tune is back from Dave I will be firing it back up. After that as long as she's happy I'll be calling to schedule the dyno session.

Ordered my quick release hub and RJ 13" Steering wheel as well. Which should be here this weekend too. It has the ability for 4 buttons but ill be using 1 for the bump boxband maybe one for the tran brake, we will see.

Sorry I waited so long been all kinds of busy.

1. The new steering wheel came in and basically looks killer and weighs almost nothing.
2. Jegs upset me by telling me the quick release would ship next day, then after I ordered it, it was backordered. Now it is supposed to ship this Thursday the 16th. Fingers crossed it does.
3. Found my issue with the idle and driving issue. The diaphragm on the fuel pressure regulator was cracked and wasn't holding pressure. Thus the garbage reading on the gauge before. New regulator installed. Issue resolved.
4. 5 bar sensor is installed/wired up and plumbed.
5. While waiting on parts I got started on my side mirror mounts. Got them smoothed out and on place. Definitely not something I've ever seen on a dart but I think the styling is spot on. These arent the final. They are going to be 3d printed by a buddy of mine so I know they're solid and one piece. But I think they look killer. Let me know what you guys think.
6. Got the Mickeys mounted, but then found out one had a flat spot. So they sent me another one that will be here tomorrow so I can get it redone this weekend.
7. She is scheduled for the alignment next Tuesday.
8. She is scheduled for the dyno August 12th and if everything goes well I hope to be starting test n tune the following weekend in NC at the Rock if they all tnt for that event.

Tada

Nothing crazing just a little cruise around the neighborhood to help the suspension get settled so I could bring it back in and put a wrench on it. Baby steps in the right direction though.

Also removed the 14psi combination of springs from the wastegates and put the 6bpsi springs in there and buttoned them back down.

Try to get some gopro video today and post it. Also trying to get the steering column and new wheel installed.

Finally got.arpund to installing the steering wheel yesterday. Also opened myself up(forcing myself) to finally get off my butt and swap the GPS speedo sensor for the mechanical one off the trans. And also wiring up that 2nd coolant temp sensor so I can actually read my engine Temps off something other than the holley 3.5" screen. Figured I may as well while I have things apart.

Also got my new lip back from TGD Wraps.
I would like yo personally thank all the Mopar community(especially the purists) for helping me name her.

Got the passenger side mirror knocked out today start to finish. Door panel backnon and I put the 4 new window cranks in.

Started planning out the battery cutoff as well. Thinking the rear panel next to the "Dodge" what do you guys think?

Looks great! If you post up a picture of the whole rear of the car, folks may be more willing to provide input on a good spot for the switch.

Finished wiring up my 2nd coolant temp sensor to my gauge. With the holley setup it basically reserves the original sensor to feed the holley ecu. Luckily there is a 2nd spot on the pasenger side head to put another.

I donated for the longest time about ditching the silver in the grille, well I finally did it. I had to fix a crack in the driver side anyway. So I taped it all off and kept the chrome going around and absolutely love how it looks.

Got a few other small things done here and there. Bump box button is up on the wheel now.too. Looking to get to the alignment shop either this coming Friday or the 3rd.

Nothing crazy going on today. Wired up the battery cutoff switch so it actually works, and I loaded her up in the trailer for the alignment tomorrow.

Got the alignment done today, should seen that man's smile when I rolled it out of the trailer for him.

In other news. We got our new transfer orders. So coming next June, the Navy will be moving us to the pacific Northwest, up to Everett Washington for the next 3 years. So looks like I'll be showing up at Pacific Raceway starting next summer. But we will be playing in the east/southeast between now and then.

I love the spoiler! You're a good sport about it all.

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. Had the ac condensor go put on my truck so that definitely took priority.

But since the dyno is scheduled for Wednesday I couldnt let it district me long.

Couldn't get the booat xontrol solenoids to work with the holley system. Tried various different ways but never showed up on my strip chart. So I pulled all the pushloc lines and such and set jrnup with a manual boost controller for the dyno. Tjat way we could still run the boost up and get some full tuning done rather than waste time with 6psi pulls off wastegate pressure or 14psi pulls off by switching the springs around. But I have the manual controller on there so we should be good to go.

I also swapped over the tr6ix ngk plugs over to the tr8ix plugs and gapoed them to .025. Which will be much better for the boost I plan on throwing at this thing. I also called the local speed shop up there to reserve 10 gallons of some sunoco 116/118 for the dyno.

Other than that she is ready to go. I've checked over everything else and haven't found anything else I missed. Fongers crossed it all goes well.

Didn't see any issies today. Started right up on the new plugs, and picked up some sauce for the dyno. Only thing left is like 6 to 8 bags of ice for tomorrow on the way up.

Had a good night at the dyno. But with having to switch back to the manual boost controller, we ran out of our ability to get any more booost out of it.

We stopped at 802 whp at 20psi. That's with a very conservative 15 degrees of timing. Once the dome pressure issue fixed we will break 1000 no problem.
