Stop in for a cup of coffee

Evening fellers.

Just got done with my commute. Saw a wreck on the interstate. It was on the other side and into the median and didn't look too bad so I kept going.

Then i stopped to help a guy with a flat tire on a newer dodge caravan. He didn't want me to get dirty but then i asked him if he wants to be stranded all night or get this done!?

Then I stopped at the love's gas station off the highway and a guy was there telling me he used to race a swinger 340 and wanted to check out my dart.

Then I got home and some people were on my porch. Jehovah witnesses, so it took awhile to get rid of them.

Busy day!!!!!

We were on the way home from a car meet in Wisconsin once... I was in dad's 84 Laser in front and as I came up to a toll booth, I got a flat tire... While waiting in line for the toll, I ran back to dad and gang in the pick up truck pulling our car and told them that I got a flat tire...

Dad told me to pull over after the toll booth and they pulled over behind me... We had our floor jack and some tools in the truck and we all got to it.. Dad said it was like a pit stop and we got the tire changed in less than 10 minutes and were on our way again... :steering:

Hey all, unfortunately, I sold my car, I have mouths to feed, not expected, it sold to a member and moderator...they asked not to be known....

Which car is this??? The one that you got from your brother????

Wash and wear test cycle 7. The colors remain true and no signs of separation from the fabric or compromise of the heat transfer sheet itself. It is fully pliable and moves with the fabric. The image shows details of bonding with the fabric texture that confirm the adhesion to the entire transfer surface.

A few more test cycles and I will be ready to make the coffee club shirts available.

So today’s dart plan didn’t go very well. Got some trimming and final fitting done on the drivers quarter and the tail panel. Pics will be post shortly on my build thread.

Bad news is, I just broke one of my Hemis. Badly. And hurt my back in the process. Had it on the hoist and was lifting it with an engine chain, bolted all the way in with a grade 8 bolt, had it almost up high enough to bolt to the stand, when the bolt head snapped right of, engine and hoist and me went to the ground. Landed hard on my back on concrete. I don’t bruise easily and my wife says my entire back is black and blue.

Now the worst news is, the block on the hemi is busted. Big hole in it. And sadly, it was my 09 eagle head Hemi. Hole is about 3x5 inches . Pics to follow. Now to find out if I can swap everything for the heads onto one of my other 5.7 hemi blocks.

Oh man.
Metric bolts with 8.8 arent that tough. Color is irrelevant.

Sorry you hurt yourself, that really sucks.

One more thing in the tool box and then have the batteries go dead. Screw that. Already carrying at least 100 lbs of tools in two boxes. if I can't change a tire with that, I might as well hang it up.
Only time I bring a cordless impact and a floor jack has been to speed tire changes at autocross. Even then, break 'em loose and final torque by hand.
I agree that trucks can be difficult. Took a lot of jumping up and down to break loose the nuts on the park baby dump - but we got it done.
Don't carry any metric sockets or wrenches except the couple needed for odd ball items on the jeep, if you get my drift.
