trying lol it makes sense on paper, but trying to follow this hobbled and cobbled together harness in this thing is just pain nuts. I should have just left the one I made on there. But no, me being me, thought I could fix the original harness enough to take it for a spin and in the process, I think I fried the coil

Try long lengths of fuse with a stick of dynamite where the coil is. Light the end of the fuse at the battery and...quick, solve the diagram!
