Stop in for a cup of coffee

So far the only thing that will suck the grease out of a aluminum casting that I have found so far.

I have tried the citrus stuff, barley does the job after a day covered with plastic.
Citristrip? Not surprised it doesn't work for that.
Its pretty good for taking the last coats of varnish or paint off of wood. Much slower, but when working a large area like a floor that's actually an advantage. Pick it up using woodshavings a few hours later or the next morning. Then wipe down.

When I run into some crusted up grease, and the green or purple doesn't work, sometimes fuel works. Failing that, engine foam or uncoat remover. I don't know what's in that undercoat remover but it really cuts through when other stuff won't.

That you need to chemically strip?

Hoppy has a a specific use for it.
maybe. That said, I went and bought literally the last gallon of the stuff in town. 24 bucks for the gallon. Dude at the parts store said there's been a run on it since Friday and didn't know why. had a whole pallet of it and its gone now. Which he was glad because corporate sent an email saying that any left over by COB on March 31 had to be disposed of as hazardous waste and that's 35 bucks a gallon to do for the store.

Undercoat remover. it comes in a spray can. None of that changes that thing we call gravity. Hint hint You be careful out there!

Well, I got it up and a good look at it... Looks like just the right lower control arm, and ball joint. Might have to put a new swing bushing in the replacement arm. But the modified upper arm looks ok, as do the tie rods and links , and strut bars...Might get lucky. Wont really know if the frame is twisted or not until I can get the front end straight. I'm sure my truck alignment guy will tell me.. Maybe I'll know as soon as I drive it.

Take some frame measurements if you can and i'll take some on my 89 d350. frame wise, they should be fairly close to the same

Be realistic. Do you use it?
I do. But not often, and not that much. A gallon can be sitting here for several years - usually longer. By then someone is cleaning house and I get another gallon or quart. If the cans are just going to sit in the shed getting rusty, its just a waste.
Yep. Pretty sure I have most of a gallon on hand. From a few years ago...
