Bought em on vinyl,8 track cassette,cd and now itunes.
What could possibly be next?

Got ahold of an FM converter for the AM radio that came out of a 74 Dart Swinger.

That was pretty cool to have at the time.

That was a big jump from AM to FM.
Lol had a few of them. Grab them when I see them at the junkyard usually sell fast also.
Was there a difference in AM and FM antennas used in Mopars? Wondering if different would improve reception on Duster that had AM only originally.

I didn't use 8-tracks much but really thought the switching in middle of songs sucked...
As for the flipping the cassette. Most of the decks I had were auto reversing.
I still have some , on Static Display, in my Shop...Also found a Player, when I was moving....

Do they still play anything on FM?

I have not heard of anyone listening to FM radio for a loooooooong time. Last time I tuned in, it was just commercials and poor quality sound.

Nope. The factory antennas were all the same. An FM antenna doesn’t need to be as long as an AM antenna to get the best reception so there was no need for them to make it different.

Ok, here’s some fun (for me anyway).

I was rummaging around in the closets looking to purge old clothes that don’t fit anymore and came across an LL Bean fleece jacket that I bought back in 1993 and always liked, but long since grew out of.

Holy crap! It fits! Woohoo!

Yea Sirius is kinda "first generation"

I keep it simple and take all my music when I drive a car with USB capability.

When I drive my car it's radio delete and listen to the engine. But my dad's car has a really nice stereo (2016 mercedes S500) and it has the little usb plug.

Buddy just mentioned, april 1st 1978 92 citi fm came on the air.
I remember the day.

I have to tell you guys a funny story from home in Norway. One of my uncles were single and living with us, and this incident I am talking about probably was in the beginning of the 1970ties. And he was born in 1901. Norwegians are big on boiled potatoes, and unless it is a party or finer folks they are boiled in water with the skin on. Then we peel them at the table, and Norwegians are good at this, long practice.

Anyway, foreign food was not very common, so we were not very familiar with that. I had been visiting some cousins of mine, and the two older girls there had been exposed to spaghetti. A totally new thing for us. So, I ate it for the first time there, maybe I was 10 years old, I don't know. It was a struggle to get on the fork, compared to the regular potato, but it tasted good, and with the spaghetti sauce the girls had made.
Well home I asked my mom if she could make it, and after a bit of this and that, and talking to my aunt who had the girls who made the spaghetti for me, she made spaghetti.

The fun time began when my uncle got to the table and saw this food. Both he an my dad was fairly open to new food, and they never complained about the food. But when my uncle tried to get it on the fork and in the mouth he had some comments. I remember him stating that it was nothing wrong with the taste or anything like that, but getting in the mouth, well, that was a whole different matter. I have thought many times about that dinner, how he struggled with it. I remember him asking, "Klara (my mom), haven't you cooked any potatoes ?". Well, there was no potatoes, and we had spaghetti after that too. He ate, but struggled. LOL
