Stop in for a cup of coffee

Pepsi must have had some money invested in the film. Ya think?

Trying to get some stuff done. Still have boards to do on the deck. But, I twisted my back a little working on the Neon Sunday. Seems like its back in line, but sore. Actually feels best if I keep busy, but don't overdo it. I would be fine doing the work changing boards. It's getting the saw out that might be a disaster. 12" Dewalt compound miter. Need to bring it out the Bilco doors from the basement. Not that heavy, but really awkward. I did run in the rest of the screws on the last bunch of boards I replaced.

The inspector seems to approve..

Good morning,

Is it right of me to assume this battery was delivered May - 2018 ? But what does 26R mean ?

I tried to start the car today, and the battery was totally dead. It seems to me it does not hold the power over a bit of time, like a week or more. But it is awfully fast to charge again, and the engine spins fast and starts easily.
I need to put my amp meter between the battery post and minus clamp and see if anything is going on there with all the consumers switched off. If I can read anything I have a leak, so that will explain why the battery goes dead.

26R is the battery group size. Batteries are made in different size groups for use by different vehicles.

26R is group and size for that Batt. Yes, you might have a small draw on the battery when not in use. Could be in the alt. A bad diode. Use a test light to check for a draw. Take the clip, hook it to the positive battery cable, removed from the battery, and take the pointed probe to the positive post on batt. It should not light at all. If it does, there is a draw. The brighter the light the more drain.

We have family ties to the Bamble area in Norway. The family book on Mom's side goes back to 1400 or so. On Dad's side my aunt was able to track 1400 or so names to Norway also. Slide in a bit of Scot/Irish and a tad of Polish but mostly Norway. I love reading about people and events from way back then. Happy Tyr's Day today.

Bill,

Not sure if you have read The Prose Edda by Snorri Sturluson. Hard to read but great old stories of the Pagan Days

I have the book "Heimskringla" by Snorre Sturlason. Interesting reading, it covers at least most of the Viking era. Not read Edda. But I have read some stories when Leif Eirikson went to Vinland, and stayed for some years on the northern tip of Newfoundland. He had obviously been further south too, at least to Long Island, New York.

Thank you. Means it is a fairly new battery. The battery in my multimeter is gone too, so I can not measure. How sweet was that when I really needed it. See if we have a 9 volt battery laying around for them smoke alarms that starts chirping when the clock is 10 and we are on the way to bed. Them rude little things.... Usually they wait until I have gotten undressed... well, that is a different story.

It's amazing how often these dusters have the incorrect stripe added during restoration. So often the restorers were not aware there are different stripes every year.

I think most people just put what available but so much lack of knowledge on these cars yet they have bibles and worship manuals for E bodies

Or they just liked that stripe...
