Working on a NOS lot of stuff I just want a few items out of in Chicago. Been back in forth with the guy it is done. He does not take paypal so he asks me to send him cash!:rofl::rofl::rofl: No buddy a money order will work or it is off. Come on guy. Then again I got a overnight envelope the other day (7.99) and in it was 15.00 for a part. Go figure?

Maybe Karl could pick it up??

I will have to get ahold of some burned up ecm's to try it out.
Wish I know just got rid of the ones I had that failed testing that were new. Biggest issue I see is finding the right connectors for the ecu pins. The individual ones are kind of cheesy,

Been on a roll with parts basically since Tim was here scored 5 2585000 Holy grail dual point caps off of Minnesota Craigslist in a lot of stuff for 60 shipped. I get easily 150 a cap for them at Carlisle.

Well got the over center spring in and clutch pedal works so much better. My car came with a heavy duty clutch which is a little different than most. It sits higher under the dash and difficult to get to.
I got it in using washers in the spring to stretch it enough to get it on (see pic). I got the bottom half of washers out.
Had to put a vise grip on each washer pull on it while hitting the vise grip with a hammer.
Top half sits in an awkward position and will have to give it some thought how they come off.

Put some cord through each one and pull them out while hitting the clutch petal?

Its either that or I can take a scrap piece of 1/2" 6061 aluminum and fab a heat sink to remote mount.
I like this idea better - keeping the HEI control mounted seperate in a convenient and relatively cool location.
Some good info about using a HEI modules about halfway into this thread.
More on E-core coils, TFI and Duraspark.
The Duraspark distributors uses a magnetic pickup like the Mopar ones.

And also the wonders of cheap HEI in this one. Always cracks me up.

IK like the older Kem ones seem like high quality, still have a few stashed away. Hey Matt had the ecm tester out the other day yes it has a few AMC pigtails, prob had the wrong one hooked up at Carlisle.

PIA unless you have a Bridgeport to cut the potting out and are able to save the connector.
IIRC Nacho cut the potting material - maybe with a hot knife?? Don't remember and I think last I looked his photos had been deleted. :(

Good Morning and Happy Monday. Took the Demon out for a quick run around town and dinner at the local car hop with a buddy and his 9 second Chevelle. He threw mufflers on, left the slicks on, and took it out before the snow hits tonight. That was a blast. First wide open running with the Demon after the cam change. Car gets up and moves very nicely. Nothing like Chevelle, but was fun none the less.

That would figure. I assumed they just used a Ford application ECU but who knows? Would need to try to do some cross referencing.

Nice bet it was bit different than last time!
