I have another option if I want it. I have the Mopar Performance Fast Advance Dizzy and Accel super coil, both are for an electronic ignition conversion, that would be an option to try I guess too.
Chris...I was having the same problem with my truck. And found the problem in the switch. Yes it turned over but it did not let it run or even start. Kinda like it was in the Accessory position but engaging the starter.

It was horrible. :p

Sometimes I log out and poke around just to see what it's like. LOL

Just trying to complicate it more. Start with easy stuff.
Pull wire off coil that connects to dist. One side of test light to that wire. Other to battery positive. Crank engine. Light should blink.
The wire going from coil to dizzy? I thought that was a negative wire?
I am heading to my local Pic-A-part to look for an A500.........Later all....
I’m stopping at one as well otw home today.
Our government is crooked but, we are not bad people!!! We dont bite...lol
Yeah but if I get pulled over, I gotta deal with that government
And dual Points!
checking

All you are testing for is a complete circuit. Battery positive to test light, test light to distributor wire, distributor wire to points, points to ground.
Ground through engine block and back to neg battery post.

i tend to tell people at this point to quit over-analysing and just do it.
My good friend Dave tends to overthink things and somehow gets in way over his head.
And he’s a very smart guy.

Ok I do have the same tendency to over think or on occasion, under think haha

Cant seem to find the route.
They have the venues listed. They don’t normally post the route until 2-3 weeks before. But you can loosely figure out the route if you go from venue to venue and avoid interstates. If there’s a historic highway thru small towns, you can almost bet the farm that’s gonna be the route. They try to keep the daily routes to about a 175-250 mile range. With that, you can usually guess it fairly easily

Thanks, I'll have to check that route out.

I got the head rests in. I took out the drivers side half and cut all the hog rings. Got a good visual down inside and poked a long screwdriver through the slide mounts for the head rests. Found a couple cool things, 1) someone reupholstered the front bench seat and it has Legendary covers, 2) they left a original piece of the white vinyl from the seat hog ringed it to the inside of the springs so that Im guessing could possibly be matched if ever needed, 3) once I knew where and what to feel for the passengers side only took me 5 minutes to install and did it in the car. I like it better with the head rest, although they seem a little loose (like they may not stay in the up position if I wanted them to.

My thought is to drive to Champaign in the early morning and leave from there to Davenport, maybe stay the night in Davenport, then drive back home. Maybe we could meet up if you go.
A couple weeks ago we stayed in Davenport to and from Chicago.
Stayed at Rhythm City Casino. Didn't spend a penny gambling.
We pick casino's when we can because they always have good security, and big parking lots that are well lit.

Afternoon all. After standin for 3 1/2 hours last night singing, I took today off as my left leg is screamin. Hope yall are doin better.

This! If I go on the long haul ever, I’m sleeping in the car. Too many are stolen via tow trucks
