Spent maybe 60 nights on the road with the car in the enclosed trailer in the last couple years. Never had a problem. This! If I go on the long haul ever, I’m sleeping in the car. Too many are stolen via tow trucks
The thieves look in the trailer, O, its a Mopar, and not a Chevy, and they leave!!!Spent maybe 60 nights on the road with the car in the enclosed trailer in the last couple years. Never had a problem.
Wear shoes?I need to get something in my car so my feet dont get so damn hot.
There’s a bubble wrap style foil insulation I’ve seen a lot of guys, particularly in the rat rod genre using. Home Depot sells it as does most other home improvement storesWhats everyone using for sound deadener/insulation that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. I've seen something about what you can buy at the local home store, but looking for options. I need to get something in my car so my feet dont get so damn hot.
Last year they had 10 stolen at one venue. All via tow trucks in less than an hr. All were 80s chevys.Spent maybe 60 nights on the road with the car in the enclosed trailer in the last couple years. Never had a problem.
If you’re only after heat reduction, I’ve always wondered what Mylar would do. It’s light, durable in layers and they used it to fly in space and land on the moon in conditions where it was 200 degrees in the sun and -200 in the shade.Whats everyone using for sound deadener/insulation that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. I will research that. Heat is my main concern, noise is next..If you’re only after heat reduction, I’ve always wondered what Mylar would do. It’s light, durable in layers and they used it to fly in space and land on the moon in conditions where it was 200 degrees in the sun and -200 in the shade.

WTF would ANY one use the original part that gets the most wear in an Engine? After spending good money to build it right. The camshaft!!So been texting back and forth today with the actual Previous owner of the Polara . He’d parked it in 2001 and given it to his brother who eventually sold it to me.
Apparently the original engine was rebuilt over the winter of 98/99. Full rebuild, new crank, line hone , heads got slightly larger valves and comp cams valve springs. Block was square decked, but not to zero. I may have to put that sucker back in! Cam is original though.
Parked after reverse gear went out in the trans and it’d caught fire.
I used one this time at the house both at the dizzy and the #1 plug on 2 separate engines.you might know this, I'm thinking of getting one of those spark detector lights, the ones that plug into the spark plug wire and then into the spark plug, any idea if those can be used between the coil and dizzy too?
Cops are funny guys and gals. I would like to see the day law enforcement is appreciated for what they really do.So, A new Cops first day, and he calls dispatch, There is a naked man dancing down main street.
Dispatch radios back, "copy that"
Cop radios them back, " I will try, but I am not much of a dancer"!

I think disk brakes kits have come down in price. Seems a lot of companies are now offering new kits for around 5 or 6 hundo.
If that is the case.....
I was originally going to take the disk brakes off the scamp and run drums, so that I could use the disks on a demon and run the scamp as the bottom of the barrel car.
That is when I was thinking a disk brake setup was over a grand. For 5 or 6 hundo I will just buy a new setup for the demon when the time comes and leave these brakes on the scamp. I replaced the drums and put these brakes on the scamp about 2 years ago before I had the demon.

I am looking to grab the brakets for 14" wheels for my 65.I've been looking at the Scarebird conversions. I think they are SMART. Using late model parts to make up the kit.
Is yours on the road already?? Just curious what you think about it?? I've got it saved to my cart.. How many did you use? Thats a 6x6' area so I would think I would need about 2 for the floor/firewall.I covered mine with Kilmat. Got it off Ebay. Around 60 bucks for 36 Sq Ft.
