Otherwise, we will only offer you a penny for your thoughts... :D

Shelter in place order was just put in place in our county till April 7th. We’ll see how this goes.
Ugh! I hope you have good supplies in house. If you need stuff, I am sure we could mount a mail/delivery campaign to help. (If deliveries are still allowed).

Thanks Dave
we’re fully stocked and still able to get supplies for now. The hard part is being stuck in the house, I’m used to being outside most of the time!

Good Afternoon All! Well, wife got the pink slip today, they are closing her office because Corona, won't reopen. Not good timing with our conversion from construction loan to mortgage. She works till the end of month discharging clients. Hopefully if we do get asked by the bank if we are both still working we can say "yes" with a sorta straight face....

Sorry to hear, hopefully she will find another job....

Trialed our work from home network speeds and connection today...so I worked from home and all went well. By the end of my work day my boss calls and tells me to just continue to work from home and, he is gonna call me with more instruction later. I am happy to be able to stay away from the masses right now as my health conditions put me in the high risk of getting the worst side of this virus.
I’m helping get that set up at work as well. Ours isn’t going so well. CAD software eats a ton of resources and doing it via cloud just isn’t working.

The front doorbell just rang a few minutes ago. I hesitantly opened the door to see my neighbor from down the street standing at the end of the front walk about 10’ away.

He said “I saw you bring a case of beer in the house the other day, would it be too much to ask if you could pick one up for me the next time you go? I really don’t want to go anywhere I don’t need to visit right now if I can help it.”

Both he and his wife are in their late 70s and I could see the deep concern in his eyes.

I said that I absolutely would, but in the mean time please wait here for a minute...I will be right back.

I then went and grabbed one of the cases that I bought the other day and brought it out.

I told him to just take it and don’t worry about paying me for it. I also told him that if he and his wife need supplies, just let us know and we will try to get them when we are out.

I put the case down on the front step and told him to wait until I closed the door to take it...and be sure to wash your hands when you get it home! I smiled and said “Because you can’t be too safe in these times.”

5 minutes later his wife called my wife thanking her profusely for our kindness. My wife explained that we are here whenever you need something and don’t be shy about asking. We want you as our neighbors for a long time to come.

A little kindness and a terrifying time just became a little less so for them..and us.

Good stuff Dave!

The guy getting the wood out of my back yard has a son that works at Safeway, he says he is BUSY!!! Restaurants in Seattle are also changing gears to curb side service, delivery, take out. We tried Amazon and Schwans for online food today, lots sold out. I hope and think supply levels will even out so not panicking.
Look at Hello Fresh. We've used them for over a year, one weekly delivery, two meals and love it. Want to take a week or two off no problem. Lots of choices, 30 minutes from start to eat, always left overs.
