Neighbor across the street runs a garden at their church. She was saying for the little ones, they sprout some bean seeds so the kids can see how plant emerges . Maybe a little soil on a paper towel? I can't remember quite how she said they have the kids do it.
She also said the kids love pulling the carrots out of the ground, whereas the older folks are much more into growing the greens.
I remember as a kid liking picking peas and stringbeans the most. We never had great carrots. Probably soil too rich and not sandy enough.

When we were kids, my parents planted a strawberry patch next to our shed in the back yard... Mom wondered why they didn't get any strawberries for three years, until one day she caught one of our Dalmatians eating the strawberries... That Dal learned to eat the sweet ripe red ones and leave the green ones for later... Amazing how dogs figure these things out.... :D

Check in when you have a chance.
Lots of things can sound like that.
Not usually any of them good.

I'm ok... It may have been a firework or someone poaching in the forest preserve across the street (which is illegal to hunt in a preserve)...

I called the police and let them know about the noise and they sent a car out to sit in the driveway of the new house being built across the street for about 10 minutes...

No more "shots" after the first two....

70 degree day, so it was power wash day.

I'm really starting to know this car and all its strong points and all the little things wrong with it, but at least it's a turn key now.

Well, more like.... turn screwdriver over the selonid......

Lookin' good...

When are you gonna put some belts and hoses on that thing??? :wtf:

Then you can run and drive it a little longer next time.... :BangHead: :steering:

Spooked off someone messing around at the farm this morning. Not sure what they were doing. I think I got them before they could do anything

Hey Ray what's shakin… Nothing much here.
Its raining here this morning, so I'm going to do some spring cleaning in my closet and dresser drawers.
This afternoon clears up and mid 70's.
I'm going to head outside and begin the spring clean up in Chery's flower beds. Both, are things I don't enjoy doing.

Morning.
Another cold day. Couple more and it will be starting to turn. Above freezing all next week.

I'm sure when they don't get it back they'll call, but come on.
I send something in for work my name and number is all over it, and I call in a couple days just to confirm.

Thing is really a mess, looks like it was kept in a bucket of mud. I get ones from the 30's in as cores in better shape that were on a barn floor. I want to talk to the guy it needs a lot of parts, not cheap ones either.

Kind of wonder what that guy wants for the NOS upper hose? I know they are hard to find. 100-150?
