Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well, Houston, we have shut down. We're going full telecommute starting now.

Surprised all states haven't at this point
Are you applying some sort of logic here?
Went grocery shopping this morning and I was there right at 8 when they opened, and there was a line up of people waiting to get in. I was able to pick up most things we needed but the store still had no TP!!!
They had lots of items marked saying there was a limit on them.
And here I thought it was only down here that the first thing people worried about was their bums.
LOL.
Rain here for the next 15 days according to weather.com. Hope they're wrong but that sure can happen up here!
I flew out to Seattle for a friends wedding in late May. It actually was sunny both days of that weekend!

I just got a request from the wife. I had better get shopping before it gets bad. She want's chocolate and Tootsie rolls. LOL
I just did a little shopping myself. 10 confirmed cases in the county, and **** is getting weird... some with gloves on a few with masks. Come in through the garage. Wash hands. Wipe everything down with disinfectant leave out to dry, clothes to laundry, head right to the shower...

I have a headache. welding and painting truck parts today.
pulled a headlight ring off the ‘52 chevy in the parts row. I can make it work on the fargo. Makes my day.

People who did know NYC in the 70s probably can't begin to comprehend how those movies had a shred of believablity!
I told some of our college interns to watch The French Connection to get a sense of NYC at that time. Great movie too.

Took advantage of quiet day and ordered parts from Classic. They are totally shut down. You can still order on line and they will fill when they re-emerge. Randy was there for Bouchillion tho! He is always there!
I was wondering whether mail order stuff was still in operation in the states with the stay at home policies.
Tried to order some non-essential stuff from Amazon and at the very end estimated delivery went from 5-7days to April 30.
Hit back until I got to the cart and put it all on save for later.

Found a place on e-bay selling the connector I wanted. Hopefully it ships out - California based business.

Repeat post but, I got my tune up parts and fuel pump in for my pick up. It is supposed to rain the next 4 days or so. I'll just drive the other truck if I need to.

Well, we are under “Stay at Home” orders now. Figured it was coming. That’s ok, I haven’t gone anywhere other than the allowed places for the past 3 weeks anyway and wasn’t planning to change that anytime soon.

Dave, Just got a message from my wife. She is repeating information from a nurse that Advil/ Ibuprofen makes the virus worse and the virus thrives on Ibuprofen and kickstarts it into pneumonia. Have you heard anything about that?

That’s old information that has since been corrected. There is no evidence of it being an issue.

I see the WHO recommended not to take it for symptoms and then that it was ok. I don't take the stuff any more anyway as per my cardiologist. My liver doctor doesn't like it either. I used to take it a lot for aches and pains. Not many issues since my heart surgery. Interesting for sure.

And how is that any different from what the whole state was supposed to be doing? Everything that those rules allows is the only stuff that is supposed to be open anyway- not just in those counties

I'll do a screen shot of the city council meeting in a few min. . All online except for a few in council chambers. Everyone else is on their laptops. Pretty cool actually.

I was a doctor for the World Health Organization for a week....

It was a misunderstanding really, I thought I was auditioning for a part on Dr. Who....

The Ibuprofen thing started after a study stated that ibuprofen boosts the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), which may facilitate and worsen COVID-19. As a result, WHO originally warned most patients to stick with acetaminophen, which is also known as paracetamol or Tylenol.

Patients likely have increased ACE2 expression if they’re treated with ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II type I receptor blockers (ARBs), or thiazolidinediones, the report noted. Those drugs are commonly taken by those with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and diabetes. Ibuprofen can also increase ACE2, the study noted. But the conclusions are only theoretical.

Other studies have shown that ibuprofen can be helpful in lung infections by reducing the amount of inflammation, which may be damaging to the lung. After careful review of all available data, the WHO reversed its initial recommendation and stated that they no longer advised against it.

The main difference is that now you aren’t supposed to go out for a drive or stop in at your friends houses. Stay at Home orders mean you can ONLY go out to do the things on the list...and nothing else.

Oh boy! More low elevation snow predicted inland from here a ways. Are we really sure it's March? It's supposed to be clear with the wind justa howlin' in March round here. :realcrazy:

Snow in California. What's the world coming to! LOL

Well, if they are really your friend, you wouldn't 'visit' anyway. Other than to deliver supplies or help with needs that are permitted anyway...
