Stop in for a cup of coffee

I swear if the stupid people who think their business or personal bias is more important than stopping this virus and preventing the death of millions keep spewing their ****, I am going to completely withdraw from the human race.

Seriously? When your personal finance becomes more important than working together to save our country from a disaster then I have no hope for humanity, much less America.

Individuals with small businesses putting their personal financial needs above the crisis are no different that the big corporations that they so long complained about putting their bottom line above the welfare of their workers.

It begins and ends with each of us. Do the right thing or get the hell out of the way of those who are.

On the flip side, these ceiling and sofa pics of strange shadows seem to me telling me something...

So at work they were discussing a healthy BMI.

so it got me thinking, how accurate or useful that really is.

And on another lighter note, hung some more stuff up in the shop. Found Leanna's Friday Powder **** poster, Dave you have some competition now lol!

I posted up the other day that my business would be closed until further notice. Best friend’s daughter texts today, about getting an oil change. Wtf? No.
To top it off, i normally dont charge her anything over my cost and no labour.
So, it goes for everybody.

maybe a bad decision on my part, money isnt the issue.

Only sort of. BMI is a made up number that is only a slightly general guidance for healthy weight.

The reality is that every individual is far different in body composition than BMI can account for.

For me, based on BMI, I should weight 165 lbs, but that is totally wrong. I have a large frame body and in reality my ideal weight is between 185-195 lbs.

So my BMI would say I’m overweight at 185, but it is wrong.

BMI is what the military uses...why?...because it's a quick and easy/fast way to check out/rank many personnel efficiently. It is NOT accurate or a good indicator in many cases.

The class instructor said my BMI is estimated 18 or 19. To which I questioned under what circumstance would i use that number.

The other problem is all the charts they were showing us only went as low as 5'0" ......I'm a lot shorter than that so do I use the kid chart??

Tell me your height and wrist circumference and I will tell you your ideal weight within 10 lbs. Its all about frame size and total height to get the most accurate estimate. Fitness and muscle mass are always assumed to be average so if you are more fit, the numbers are usually underestimated.

No competition, Art is it’s own thing and making it is the reward...not what goes on people’s walls.

People like what they like, and artists just try to connect to that.

I realize that Dave. Leanna's art is the work she turns out, not the poster. Her poster is nice tho….something about it I like....lol!

Just got one of the parts I ordered for my truck, from Tasca parts.com. Dang thing is broken in half, in a box that does not fit the part without it braking!!!

It is a fragile part, I am replacing it because it has cracked. It is a lexan? ring that goes in the center console cup holder, in the bottom, for the ambient lighting.
It had 2 led's that radiate all around the ring, unless it is cracked...

So this evening I went out and went through the transmission for the Duster...Now I have done some sketchy **** in the garage before but.....using two..3/8 drive short extensions to press the spring retainer down in the direct drum is up towards the top...lol...good news is it's ready to go back in, just waiting for the torque converter to show up...
