So how dumb does it have to be to be a dumb question? And don't say this is a dumb question because I don't know
Morning all. Keep telling yourself that Ray. I don't love dumb questions any more. We can't all be experts but when you help and get slapped in the face it makes you not want to try. Rant over. Thanks for listening.Man way to many e mails today. I love dumb questions, I love dumb questions...…...
Phone calls for me. Same guy over and over, last call i made it clear, no repairs until the social distancing order is lifted. 2 more weeks and it should be good to go.Man way to many e mails today. I love dumb questions, I love dumb questions...…...
That's great and so true!My Pop said just remember half the people are below average.
So, like drop distributor in and start cranking? Would have noticed right off the bat something was wrong?Just some winners today. Mostly people with deep pockets and no experience. But at least trying to learn. Think the best was a 440-6 guy just had his motor rebuilt and installed think it was over 10k. Asked me to rebuild three dual points for him. Hell yeah. Two of them are nos in the box $$$$$ and one was in need of a rebuild. Just documented the nos ones and rebuilt the other. Send them back a few months later get a call guy is pissed off. "what did I do to all his distributors, the shafts are too short. I been cranking the motor for a hour and it wont spin" Ask him to take a pic down the dist hole, sends it to me no oil pump drive in it. He did not like it when I told him that motor has to at least come apart since there was no oil in it. Last time I heard from him.
That gives me a whole new perspective. I can say that most of those live near meMy Pop said just remember half the people are below average.

That's right no renters now?Looks like the first dry day here in a while. Supposed to be 70-75 and sunny. Grass is 10in tall. Today will be a good day to trim and cut, since it is going to rain AGAIN tomorrow......
No, actually she is still here. I told them both that they are under the lease contract, until a new family signs one. Had it advertised for over a month now. But Military shut down moves until mid May. They are still paying the rent, but he moved to the new job in Colorado a month ago. She's a Heifer , so she aint cuttin no grass..LOL I dont mind doing it, as long as they continue to pay ....That's right no renters now?
Or by the size of hammer needed to move it.

Started Dart to put it out of weather. Valve seals are rearing their ugly head. No biggie, Want to change valve covers anyway.
It must be the 6 pack thing. There's a 6 pack thread here where the op wanted to know how the carbs opened up if you mashed the gas at 2-2500 rpm's. I posted a u tube video of a 6 pack on the dyno with a camera directly above the carbs. He responded that I could idolize the youtuber if I wanted and that he didn't even watch the video. He was still complaining about how his 6 pack will never idle right. Good luck dude.jUST ONE OF THOSE GUYS THAT THINK THEY KNOW HOW TO WORK ON SOMETHING.

The young guy that was living in the garage apartment, a few years had a Pontiac big block, that I assembled the short block for. Then I went away to VN for a month or so. He installed heads and intake and such. Installed it in the car. No start, no spark , no nothin. I come back and look. he FORGOT to put in the intermediate dizzy shaft !!! Lucky for him, i showed him how to drill prime the oil pump, before I left. Turned out ok, after I got the Int shaft installed and engine timed properly. Thing was a beast 469 cid stroker, like 600Hp......Just some winners today. Mostly people with deep pockets and no experience. But at least trying to learn.
