Stop in for a cup of coffee

I'm back had to get Cheryl out the door and on the road. Her team has a tennis match this morning 100 miles away. She'll be home by 1pm.
Steaks on the new grill tonight...going to invite Johnny my neighbor and new buddy to dinner. He's a bachelor this week. His wife went on spring break with their daughter and granddaughter.

Just chilled here most of the day. I did go out and check on my cornhole tables though. I found a place to make them early last week and gave them detailed drawings. They want 2 million VND to build both. Bout $80 USD. I gave them 1 million VND when I gave them the instructions. Then they called me 3 days ago and said one was ready for me to look at. I went over there and they hadn't even done it yet. So then they called me again today and said one was ready. So I went over there today, no it's not ready yet. But they had the base laid out in the correct size I brought my tape measure to check. But they were going to put the hole in the wrong place. Good thing I went there to show them the correct location of the holes. Always a lot of steps to get anything done in Vietnam.

Well I am out to the range today to try and discover the facts of a training tip. So one of our students came to class prepared to shoot with tape over the front of his RMR sight. His explanation was thus. By putting pistol in front of dominant eye and focusing on target with other, your mind instinctively lines up red dot on target. For the record the individual shot like this adequately. I want to try it today. Problem being I am left eye dominate and will have pistol in right hand for todays exercise. I never like to poo poo a statement with heresay and much prefer to validate against facts. Clearly the student was passionate about the method and preformed adequately. Who am I to say nonsense. Quote unquote it worked for him. It will be an interesting training session to be sure. The tape blinds the rmr but the shooter can still see the red dot as the back of sight is not taped. While it certainly makes no sense to me I gotta try it. I fear it is the flipping rods argument all over again.

Hmm...

Too many years of "front sight post" I've seen people swear by various other methods such as index firing. Hey, if it works for them, great.

You may think I am nuts but I bought a Ruger 10/20 Charger. That way I can just keep throwing shots at my target. LOL

And 60 tomorrow!
Yup. Might be the last visit for Jack Frost for a while.
