Stop in for a cup of coffee

Got my leak fixed. Shoulda known better looking at it. Most of the solder work in this place is pretty ugly, but has held for 40 years... If the place is here in another 40 my work will look about the same lol. Before I started and now. Yes, I scorched the joist.

Yeah I doubt I could have done any better, probably done much worse. Good work

Good grief Charlie Brown. We drove to town over lunch and to take the minions to the park.

Barracuda's 340 only drinks 93 octane or higher. Performance costs!
Same with the wife’s Durango. Though Dodge did send us a mailer earlier this spring, for 100 bucks, the dealer will put an 87 octane tune in but they expect a 15 percent power and MPG loss on 87 even with the tune. So what’s the point

So this is scary. The average person drives 23.6 miles to work one way in Indiana. With the average vehicle on the road in Indiana getting 22.1 mpg.

so 23.6x2= 57.2/22.1=2.588 gallons a day.

2.5889x5.559=14.39 dollars to go to work each day. Average starting wage in Indiana is 13.5 an hour. Which means just to get to work, your first 2 hours(figuring taxes into this) is working just to pay to go to work. which translates to 25 percent of your work week paying just to go to work. 10 hours out of a 40 hour week. That’s flipping nuts.

Now before anyone says to increase the wages... that’s part of why prices have surged!! Inflation 101

Yeh, that probably doesn't make sense. The percentage difference does seem to climb as the price goes up, but still not enough to make that work. Luckily my stuf runs on 87.

Moms neighbour cut the grass. Did a really bad job.at least the majority of it is knocked down. Will re-do it next week when it dries up.

That's one thing about cutting grass; as long as its growing and you don't scalp bad/dig in -you get another chance to fix it in a week or two. Whether you like it or not...

Wall panel in and valve complete. Reinforced the joist below. Went with 1/2 plywood on both sides( about 3 times the length of the notch, glued and screwed) Next piece in the drywall. Then get the shower head on….

Made it home safely. Rained for the last 90 min or so. Great drive otherwise. 12 mpg for a cammed tunnel ram 440 with 660s. Is pretty damn good
