Looks better from far. I need a forge and an anvil. Have you seen the price of anvils lately? Damn forged in fire….

A picture of Carlisle in action and this isn't a full picture.
Look at the top corner north of the grandstand (also gate 7) and then come back down to the right along the tree line a couple inches on the picture.
That's where Ray, Mitch, and most the other guys are set up.

Demo Day?
So a Demo day in our world (2A) means a specific manufacture of a product visits the host range and lets folks test drive their product for no fee. They bring a bunch of different models and let folks shoot anything they want. In hopes that said test drivee likes the product so much that they purchase at a reduced Demo day cost. Everybody wins! In our specific case we are hosting Nighthawk a very high end premier custom gun manufacturer. They are high end enough most folks never lay eyes on one of their pistols much less get the opportunity to shoot one. Their shotguns start at mid twenty K and go up from there. We are targeting their 1911 platform product line in multiple calibers which generally start in mid 3s and go up. Shooting one is a very neat experience. I do not sell guns but it is great exposure for my range. Their claim to fame is one gun, is built by hand, by one gunsmith beginning to end. They will not deviate or compromise. Their pistols are works of art. You order one today and you will wait for months to get it. Totally worth the wait, my opinion! Anyway that is a Demo day. I am just super excited!

20k to start for their shotguns, yeah, that's art prices. Will have to take a look, must be very nice!

Nice guns but at 20k for a shot gun and 3k for a 1911 I would be afraid I would scratch it, would be fun to shoot one though.

 Fer some strange reason bombing runs and artillery came to mind at "demo day" on a gun range

I went out to check the magnet we had over our primary conveyor belt and low and behold there was a 2' long piece of rail stuck to it . I cleared the magnet and that piece of rail served me well as an anvil for many years at the rock farm :D. At one time there was a narrow gauge railroad running in that part of the valley.

Hey gets.
All day wrenching on the car. It about kicked my arse. Damn but those Upper Control Arm eccentrics are a PITA to access. She is aligned! Used the vintage system and then double checked with the digital guage. Spot on. Went with more of a performance Street setup. I'll see how it does and adjust from there. I don't think there is any need for a shop alignment at all. Test drive did great. Let go of the wheel and she goes straight down the road.

It was like some sort of test thinking about what direction I wanted to move things and the lobes on the UCA bolts. Up and out is different than down and out.

I'm spent. Think I was hit in the face by falling wrenches and sockets about a dozen times.

Great job guy! Proof is in the pudding and sounds like the pudding was purfect!

I got a surprise guest last night. There is a big car show in Fargo today so I am sitting in my chair last night sipping a toddy and I get a text from FABO @Fred Scigliano of body work and center console building fame. He wants to go to car show in the morning. Next thing ya know I tell him to just hit the road and he can crash here instead of driving in the morning. Him and Hemi are buds for sure! The pocket full of treats he always brings does help a bit! He got here about ten and we had a couple of toddies. Great times!

Sounds like a great day!! This morning we have a 9am Granddaughter's softball game. They're playing for their league championship.
She had a two run RBI double last night to win their semifinal game. Hopefully she came down off cloud nine last night and got some sleep.
