Stop in for a cup of coffee

Ok, but seriously… Does the old one have any holes? Could you flush it out and run it till you get a new one?
I am getting to that point......No holes. Just rust.....not bad. Enough to mess up the gas....

Sounds like you might have an alternative if you don't get the new tank in time. Would hate to miss some good pictures of your trip.

Catch the ohms scale for the gas gauge I posted? Kind of into all that electronic voodo type stuff with my background.

Yes hot coffee and I saw the scale.

No engine, battery or anything else in the car so it will be a little while before it gets tested.

Just a ohms meter on the float and use that scale. Use a analouge meter easier to see a dead spot if it has one. If needed and you have the cluster out I have a tester I made to check the guages out of the car, has a internal battery. Hook it up flip a switch and see what it reads. Simple I can lend it to you if needed. Reall a pretty cool tool. Lent it out here a few times. Need to make them and sell them really. Just no time.

Mitchyson! Hey did you use that tester for the gauges? I know Tim and Karl did. If it aint a flashback I dont remember shi....

So the best part of yesterdays Uber drive was.....

Thanks Ray, I have a Klein gauge (stock pic). Will this work?

Morning guys... got my hinge on last night.. took over a hour to align the doors but they close with a gentle click now :) I love 60's quality... my drivers door i have the option of lining up the top of the door with the quarter... OR.. the trim on the side of the door to line up with the trim... can't have both though.. it's going to just eat at me forever

Yes for the stationary measurements. Set it low and high the float I mean and read it on the lowest ohms scale. To see the smoothness it will keep ranging, that why a needle one (analouge) is good for. Crap just looked again that have a ohms scale? it should? Opps yess that speaker looking symbol is it.
