Stop in for a cup of coffee

It's Maverick Monday!

Good morning :D

Nice place Scott, morning fellers. need to get the brush hog hooked to the Tractor and get it ready for the summer. More honey do's in the house to get done.

On a break walked through the yard for the last two hours sprayed eight gallons maybe another four gallons to go.
We've lived here almost two years. First summer was cutting down trees. It took me six weeks to cut down 40 trees.
Last summer I focused on the weeds and then growing grass. The previous owner had done little to nothing for years.
I can see the effort is paying off this spring 85% less weeds then what I had last year.
I like a nice yard...not a perfect yard just don't enjoy all the work involved but who does??

I sprayed yesterday RM43. Went to GS baseball game. It was hilarious. Much like keystone cops movie. Of course we had a “super Dad” screaming at his son the whole game about his position blah blah blah. I mean seriously these guys are kindergarten age. At one point his boy was the pitcher, of course they do not pitch it is tee ball. They just stand on the mound and wait for the inevitable dribble hit from the tee. So anyway he is screaming at little Johnny to get in the ready position etc when Little Johnny decides to pick a bugger instead. The bleachers howled. It was classic. You just can’t script little people.

Congratulations on a great time and watching you son coach and grandson play, I take my hat off to your son, I bet it was a super day !!

66 chart shows 4-blade
that is what is on mine....Morning

Looked in the updated TSM Service Bulletin (Service Bulletin No. 64-30, Dec 23, 1963) and it calls out the fan as being 6-blade, 17" Diameter.

EDIT TO ADD

Curious that they went back to the 4 blade fan... They must have gotten some information off of the performance. Cheaper to make 4 versus 6?

Anyhoooooo.... The one I grabbed at the swap meet is incorrect (18", 5-blade). Going to see if I can figure out what the proper application is so I can see if anyone is in need of one.

I got three holes dug today and am now setting stringers. It is tuff managing 12ft 2x10s up a ladder by yourself. Well let me qualify that, at my age. You young bucks can scamper right up hold it in place and bolt it. Shame youth is wasted on the young!

You just need more equipment ... Lifts and staging and bucket trucks....

It is getting better. Thanks for asking. Tired and foggy but pain is mostly gone.

Well I am done for the day, had a little ricochet incident. Involving a 2x10 my head and subsequently a ladder. Had my stringer set up perched on c clamp waiting for me to swap in the steady rest c clamp and the wind blew it off it slid off the clamp bonked me on the head, then knocked the ladder over as well which landed on my shoulder. While I was sprawled out on the ground doing the self check all I could think of well that’s just great, now I am going to be covered in ticks. like most on here, when you work alone as often as we all do sometimes it can be a bit risky. We use a lot of clamps, cripples, trees and come alongs! Time for a biker cocktail. Pain pill and Bourbon! Since I am still dizzy as a bat and it has been an hour or so I figured I should stop for the day!

I'm pass lunch walked most of three acres spraying the weeds and clover.
Went to lunch with the boss and stopped by the nursery to get a big potted plant for the big potted plant holder she has on the front walk...lol!!
Since it was warm stopped by my daughters to check on her dog. Good thing because he didn't have any water left. Filled up two and gave him a couple treats.
Heading back out got a couple hours before I have to go pick up the GD and take her to softball practice. Her Mom will show up there and take over.

Cheryl has a rule no ladder unless she's present. It wasn't a problem when she was working but now that she's retired a PITA!!
Take care of yourself. If you get sick or dizzy turns to headache go get checked out. You want to wake up tomorrow.
