Stop in for a cup of coffee

Cheryl has a rule no ladder unless she's present. It wasn't a problem when she was working but now that she's retired a PITA!!
Take care of yourself. If you get sick or dizzy turns to headache go get checked out. You want to wake up tomorrow.
Jodi has instilled the same rule! I was on the ground which is how the plank bonked me. But as it cascaded down it toppled the ladder which also fell on me. I was on ground picking up c clamp I inadvertently knocked to ground during wrestling match getting beam in place. Total comedy of errors. Jodi reminded me yet again I can ask for help when setting the beams. While I am technically able to, for some reason I am not physically able to ask for the help! Good thing it hit me on the head or I could have been hurt for sure. She also explained I was not going to do any of my nightly dry fire exercises and or operate anything with a steering wheel. Fortunately my glass has no holster and or steering wheel so I am good to go. But man I am still loopy! That is why I came in the house.

Getting stuff done, and found a new snag. Before installing plugs i figured i would see if it had oil pressure. Nope. So working at relocating oil line to another port. There is oil at that one. Frustrating. I need a nap.

John glad you didn’t really injure yourself. I have the same problem here, no neighbors or anyone around. I often have to find unique ways to accomplish various tasks alone. I try and really think through the scenarios and try to do it as safely as possible.

I can usually call one of my Sons to come help me if I really need help. But I really hate to bother them since they both have their own businesses. And usually I forget until it's too late anyhow. And I'm so hard-headed I just find a way to do it alone.

Being hard headed as well sometimes bites me. Another thing I lack is patience…..
One thing for sure, while this group may all be from different places, and have a multitude of different backgrounds, the common Denominator is sheer tenacity and grim determination to get something done. Nobody on here gives up, and I mean nobody! Well unless we have a lurker I have not met who served in the French infantry! They always give up!

66 chart shows 4-blade

Looked in the updated TSM Service Bulletin (Service Bulletin No. 64-30, Dec 23, 1963) and it calls out the fan as being 6-blade, 17" Diameter.

EDIT TO ADD

Curious that they went back to the 4 blade fan... They must have gotten some information off of the performance. Cheaper to make 4 versus 6?

Anyhoooooo.... The one I grabbed at the swap meet is incorrect (18", 5-blade). Going to see if I can figure out what the proper application is so I can see if anyone is in need of one.
I have a 7 blade fan between 17 and 18" if you need one.

Makes me think of this...

Oh hell now your under the watchful eye for at least 24 hours...no fun. :wtf:

Home from work, took the box off a 2021 Chevy pickup replaced the right boxside and only worked 5 hours today and I'm sore . Even gravy work is getting harder.

Be careful John. You keep it up and it might knock some sense into you! :poke: :rofl: :BangHead: :BangHead:

I was all set after we moved in to go up and paint the wood trim around the chimney. I've done a lot of repelling back in the day and came in with a 40 ft piece of nylon rope and announced I was heading up top to paint. I'd tied a repel harness and explained I'd tie off on the chimney and it wouldn't be a problem. The pitch on that side if the house is 12/17...steep. I was informed in no uncertain terms that I wasn't doing anything that stupid with her there. I hired it out to a chimney guy which was good because he found weather damage I couldn't see.

That's steep I know what would happen if it was me, Id drop my can of paint and make a mess.

Well I am done for the day, had a little ricochet incident. Involving a 2x10 my head and subsequently a ladder. Had my stringer set up perched on c clamp waiting for me to swap in the steady rest c clamp and the wind blew it off it slid off the clamp bonked me on the head, then knocked the ladder over as well which landed on my shoulder. While I was sprawled out on the ground doing the self check all I could think of well that’s just great, now I am going to be covered in ticks. like most on here, when you work alone as often as we all do sometimes it can be a bit risky. We use a lot of clamps, cripples, trees and come alongs! Time for a biker cocktail. Pain pill and Bourbon! Since I am still dizzy as a bat and it has been an hour or so I figured I should stop for the day!

Can't like that.
Totally understand not asking Jodi when you can do it yourself. Its not a part of the natural thinking...
Eventually you'll retrain your brain
or not!
Good luck.
Hope the pain subsides soon.

Yep I cleaned some sky lights that way. Parked truck on opposite side. Tied off to the trailer hitch, tossed rope over peak and then tied off with it so I could clean hands free. Jodi came home found truck snuggled up next to shop with rope going up and out of sight, she was thinking WTF? I was on back side dangling like a monkey blissfully cleaning the sky lights. Those that have met her can imagine the adjectives and compliments about my lineage and heritage that came out of her mouth. I have not tried that particular stunt for awhile now!

Farm girl. Yep your lucky she didn't grab a long stick and beat you like a pinata dangling off that rope. :poke:

The front side isn't so bad. My plan like John's was to back the truck up, slip the ball off the hitch, tie on and over the top, two hands to paint.
Safety assessment was good...At least I thought it was???????

Hope your wife isn't a farm girl Craig I can picture you and John hanging off the side of the house getting beat with a stick. :poke:
