Stop in for a cup of coffee

Checking in have a GD's softball game later start time 9:15 :wtf: who schedules 9-10 year olds to play that late. It will be close to 11 by the time we get home. She's spending the night with us so Mom doesn't have to get up and drop her off here at 6:30 am. Don't know what all the other parents do who have more kids than the one playing??

Busy day planting stuff for a couple hours and then hit the range for a couple hours. Was set to do some swimming at the pool but thunderstorms were moving in so that was cancelled. Sooo went and hit a few more balls.

9:15 PM for kids??? That's beer league times. Crazy.

We get visitors this weekend.
I got suspicious when I saw a Hudson pickup running around town this afternoon.
1965 and previous is the format.
That gonna mean a whole messa '64 Impalers  .

K.. not trying to make anyone jealous but.... just pulled my 318 apart... so.. here's some sweet **** for ya.. BTW.. timing chain only about 2" of play... not the worst i have seen, cam spun like butter but i had to fight to get it out due to gunk on the edges of the cam journals.. bearings look great except one missing some babbitt, but.. that's just less drag on the cam! winning!
Rods pass the wiggle test.. they feel right in spec (no bad heat coloring or anything.. so.. not worried bout it)

P.S. this is just a temp motor to get the car mobile, just putting on the TF's and a roller cam to get it drivable.. this motor is going to have a short but painful life :)
Sooo.. here's some pics.. it smells like it looks..

Now this i don't get.. i looked at the rods and saw markings, figured they were number but no.. they all have weird symbols on them, i had never seen this..

Also, i have a sweet 1985 stock cam with unknown miles if anyone wants to tone down their car a bit :)
Check rod journal size and bearing size on those.

When I go to my BBQ pit, The Spinners go with me
yeah.. been listening to a lot of 70's stuff lately.. harold melvin and the blue notes, o'jays.. tons of stuff i would have hated 20 years ago.. playing drums makes you pretty much listen to anything if it's fun to play

Most of grass is cut. Sitting on tractor for 3 hours didnt hurt at all. Until i got off and started walking around..
went for a putt around town in the Fargo and stopped for ice cream. Short cab makes it uncomfortable. Glad it has cruise for the highway part.

So getting ready for power tour. Took dart out today. Really hammered it. Man that car is quick. Really fun to drive. Tour will be a blast. But still have a off idle bog. Might need to look at nozzle.

A local ish youtuber, DDSpeedShop is working to get his nomad debugged for power tour. That car was borderine shredder fodder two years ago.

Morning!
Started at 2:00, did sleep maybe 4 hours continous. That’s a win.
Temp is going into the 80’s f today. Thinking a little road trip to offload the siezed 400 that i dont want to scrap.was going yesterday, but it didnt work out.
Still have screaming leg pain and gabapentin is useless. Treating the symptom and not the cause is not solving the issue

Hoppy you need this .
Must be ultra rare for the price.
1964 Plymouth gauge cluster 165 obo will also ship it if buyer pays

Morning short night with the late ball game ugh!! GD's team was up 12-0 after 3. They can only score 5 runs per inning so it was impossible for the other team to win. Think they'd send us home 20 minutes early...well no silly practical thoughts don't work there either.

Need the big cup this morning...
