Stop in for a cup of coffee

Tuff day Tike, but very much understand the blessing portion of it. We lost Jodis uncle last week, he had suffered for a very long time but his body would not give up. We will pray for your strength during the chaos that inevitably follows a family event like that. Hopefully you have someone to help share the admin and logistics load.
Sorry for your loss as well

I have a lot going on here as well. I will not be coming to Carlisle. My mother passed away Friday evening and now have a lot going on with family issues
Sorry for your loss. Prayers sent for strength and healing.

I do. I have my sister and one brother. I will be surprised if my other brother will show up. He lives 15 miles away but hasn't talked to anyone in 20 years

THat's sad but it happens in families all too often. It's his loss.

If he does show up I plan on nicely letting him know that his mother could not figure out what she said to him. And it was every time I would visit her

Glad you told us. People here would be wondering.
Thank you. It is a blessing actually she had been suffering for years
Sad but goes that way often.
Do the best you can.

Keeps changing rain Friday now. Typical Carlisle, bring a roll of plastic.
Those military type wall tents on a platform would be ideal. keep everything off the ground and can drop the sides when it rains.
Expensive though.

The old GP mediums or the DRACHEs?

I actually prefer the old GP mediums as they’re easier to put up and when staked, are just as strong. The DRACHEs take more people to set up. Need an entire square. Though the insulation and built in HVAC is nice enough

Take the high road my friend. I know you’ll want to let him have it, but take the high road. At least at the services. There’s time to handle the rest later on but the memorial services should be to honor her not to tear into him. Believe me, it’ll be hard as hell and I’ve been there myself.

I assume what I've seen is the GP mediums. Never seen or been in the ones with HVAC - at least I don't think so. When I was in Idaho was probably the last time I saw that sort of thing.

The GP mediums look like big cabin tents, the DRACHEs look generally like turtle shells

No it will not be done in anger at all I will "nicely" say she asked about you all the time. I never see him or I would have said it before and may never see him again

I see. Still, so sorry for your loss.

Temper tents rule! Would need three spots though. Yes we all lived in that for a few weeks then we got Coleman two man tents!

So very sorry for your loss, prayers for strength and wisdom at this time in your life.
Your friend on the hill, Mike.

Tike I'm very sorry to hear the news about your Mom, my strongest condolences. Good Morning All

Crazy awesome day!
Garage sale, bought 2 nice yamaha stereo recievers, tape deck, a clock, bag full of vise grips and a transfer punch set. $230.
Then drove 1.5 hours to the metalworking class. Mind oficially blown. I can shape sheet metal.

View attachment 1716112241Not only shape it, but understand why it does what it does. $300 for the day, worth every penny imho.

Then bought the Mother Tucking shrinking hammer $200 and i got the shrinking stump to go with it.
I would do it again in a heartbeat!
all around an expensive day, but i think it was money well spent.
Frank that sounds like a Great Day! Never heard of a class like that around here but wasn't looking either, may look into that because everytime I bang metal it does what it's supposed to do which is the opposite of of what I thought it would do.
