Stop in for a cup of coffee

Wow that took forever making sure the dist list I am brining is correct! Yesterday sucked. Mower threw the belt twice with my daughter, then the power went out in the shop, have to deal with that today, no it is not a breaker either! :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

The mower threw your daughter???

Wish someone would come over to my place and weed!

So you're going to weed...

Cummins is still kicking my ***.

Well more of the NAPA brand torque wrench. I didn’t have a torque wrench that went below 110 inch pounds so I went and bought a brand new one. Click style. Yeah it’s junk. Cummins specs call for 89 IN pounds to hold down the injectors. But to two step in, first in 45 in lbs, then to 89 in lbs. set the torque wrench to 45 in lbs, there is no ft lbs markings on this one. Clearly says inch pounds.

Each injector has two bolts, Snapped the second bolt right off, went to remove the hold down and noticed the first one had bent and twisted. This led to 3 hours of very carefully extracting the bolt remnant from bolt hole.

Decided to test the torque wrench in a vise. Was able to finally get a click at 35 pounds of weight hanging on the end of the shaft. This pos going back to Napa tomorrow

Damn it.

We broke two records today, lowest high temps on record this day, and the most rain fall, 4.30 inches today.

Holy cow! Have only had to use an inch pound torque wrench once, don't own one. Good luck!

It sounds like a perfect place for a 4" long 1/4" ratchet. And don't horse it.

Home hit balls at the range for an hour and a half then GD had two softball games today.
They lost their last game, so season is over...no more late games.
Came home and we spent a needed couple hours working the flower beds. Gave up for a toddy or two and will finish it in the morning.
Thought we had the Florida grandkids for a few days but guess that plan changed. We will have them just a couple days this week.
We saw them though for a few hours today at the ball games. At their age 6 and 4 that was just right...we're old and happy!!
Funny their mom my youngest sent us an email saying what they could eat and drink when they stayed with us ya right...
Ok no pop I agree but lots of good stuff and ice cream I don't care spoil them and send them home!!

If it wasn’t on these tiny 6mm bolts holding down the injectors, I wouldn’t have.
6mm, lubricated torque 50 inch lbs. 1/4 dr ratchet is almost too much. My 1/4 cordless ratchet does 30.honestly, i doubt it needs much more than that.

I always liked this little peanut. 4" , extremely fine tooth (72 tooth), but $75.

Well Cummins FSM states 89 inch lbs. i was set at 45 in lbs

It’s all I could find locally in stock that wasn’t harbor freight
My HF works just fine... Is it comparable to a calibrated 'tool truck' wrench? No. But I have a pretty good idea what any given torque value should feel like. So, I'm not skeered to use it.
