Stop in for a cup of coffee

I have a lot going on here as well. I will not be coming to Carlisle. My mother passed away Friday evening and now have a lot going on with family issues
So sorry for your loss .
Tuff day Tike, but very much understand the blessing portion of it. We lost Jodis uncle last week, he had suffered for a very long time but his body would not give up. We will pray for your strength during the chaos that inevitably follows a family event like that. Hopefully you have someone to help share the admin and logistics load.
So sorry for your loss .

@dartnabout : Sorry for your loss. I lost both of my parents in 2022, a very tough year. Keep your chin up and know that I will keep you and your family in my prayers. God heals all pain.

Rest in Peace dear lady. I pray for blessings and comfort for family and friends.

Crazy awesome day!
Garage sale, bought 2 nice yamaha stereo recievers, tape deck, a clock, bag full of vise grips and a transfer punch set. $230.
Then drove 1.5 hours to the metalworking class. Mind oficially blown. I can shape sheet metal.

View attachment 1716112241Not only shape it, but understand why it does what it does. $300 for the day, worth every penny imho.

Then bought the Mother Tucking shrinking hammer $200 and i got the shrinking stump to go with it.
I would do it again in a heartbeat!
all around an expensive day, but i think it was money well spent.
that is a damn good looking dome :) Glad it worked out

11am on a sunday, it's nice out and i don't feel like touching my car today :( hating it.. but i know if i go out where when i don't want to i will just hate it and rush ****.. so.. relaxing day

Not bad out now, but storms rolling in. Heavy rain near certain this afternoon. Wind. Maybe hail... I need to get on some filler rework and interior stuff on the Duster. Should do whether I sell it or not. Not finding ambition to do it.

I think summer humidity drives away ambition to do stuff like that

Wife is at work doing Nails. I'm here gathering things for Carlisle. Have most things already organized since they came back here last year. Just looking for New Gems to sell while I'm there. I always just sell stuff leftover from the last restoration. Not tryin to get rich. Just tryin to unload stuff I don't need anymore. Mostly, I just go to Carlisle for the PARTY.....

Taking a break helps. This i know

Started putting around with stude. Got air cleaner and piping figured out. Had to mount the a/c reciever-drier.
Two things off the list, while helping buddy change his headlight. Which leads me to my next comment
That engineers father should have worn a condom or his mother should have swallowed. Think that goes for every automotive engineer today. Cant wait until AI designs a car…

I coudl use one of those 727s for parts but not driving 12 hours for one :)

I have a buddy from Battle Creek that works in Flint... We try to meet at the Warren Dunes in Michigan once a month if we are available and the weather cooperates...

If you find one close to me or not far in Indiana, I can bring it to the dunes and you are welcome to join us for a day at the beach... We tailgate and he brings his small bbq grille and cooks up some burgers, brats, and chicken and we hang out at the beach for a day... I bring chips and drinks...

I picked me up a JVC receiver this week, just like the one I had back in the day...

100 watts per channel with .003% total harmonic distortion at 110 watts...

Here's a video of how crisp the sound is:
