Stop in for a cup of coffee

Little bit of a late breakfast here today. I cooked up a whole slab of bacon. I'll keep the leftovers in the fridge to be used as needed. A couple of nice BLTs here now.

Goodmorning!
Nice cool morning. A relief after yesterday’s 100 degrees.
Today is some kind of skywalk thing. Dont know how easy that will be for me. Guess i should have brought a hat. I very rarely wear a hat.
shouldn't be to hard to find a hat, now the sky walk thing is that like jumping out of an airplane?:poke:

So, two apple and one pear tree here in Kim’s girlfriend’s back yard. Dropping apples. They are out picking them up. About 100 fell in one day.
I can’t believe how dry it is here. Grass is crispy.

I was just pondering what I might like for dinner tonight. I'm inspired Fred. I've got fresh whole wheat bread. I've got some romaine lettuce (that was for the chic-fil-a copycat samich), some homegrown 'maters. It's a plan man. :)

Was thinking the same thing for dinner I have to many home grown tomatoes that I need to eat up.

Jersey corn and Jersey tomatoes, my FIL would bring a ton of both when they would come here every summer. Miss them, miss him more...................

I wish I had that problem. Our tomatoe plants aint made much this year. In fact the only plants that really produced is the cyanne pepper and the cherry tomatoe. I have to say the few Cherokee purple heirloom tomatoes are super tasty. I joke, "So much acid I can see colorful spots and chit".

This year was the first time planting one and was surprised anything grew. Cumbers grow real good here and can't even give them away.

Never grew eggplant... Here's my few pumpkins. I had to free this one from the tomato cage where I found it a foot and a half off the ground. LOL
Good Morning

You'll like this... Last year the wife decided to try growing cantaloupe. Our red brick making soil isn't fit for growing but we turn miracle grow soil and egg shells, tea bags, etc,, into it. It does OK.
She did have 1 cantaloupe that was doing great. I told her, "Looks ripe for the pickin' to me". She replied, "I'll leave it two more days. Pick and slice it Sunday morning". So the next morning we took off fishing early, never glanced at the garden spot. Cleaned a few fish and ate pizza from the freezer that evening. Sunday morning, mouthwatering about a big breakfast including the cantaloupe with grits and gravy and all.
She went out to find some critter had came out of the woods, dragged that melon to the edge where mowing ends and overgrowth starts, and ate it to nearly nothing left but a small piece of rine with ants all over it. My "wise guy" comment, "Told yah it was ready. Din't I toll yah?" LOL

Hey I'll take some , got one cucumber then they all died .:BangHead:
Cucumbers in Viet Nam are GREAT. So is the Pineapple and of course many other fruits, we don't have here in America. I'm sure that's why I lose weight when Im there....

Got this today, guy locally posted them for sell. He’s got a ton of years but I only needed 1964. Covers every make and model.
