Here's another one that may help. 2-Barrel to 4-Barrel ConversionMorning gang... couldn't get to sleep pondering a few engine assembly thoughts... ended up back in the garage until just after 2am. Slow start to the morning.
Just mocking things up... trying to figure out how the brackets attached was a puzzle... Pretty sure I got it. Had to resort to scrolling through car show engine photos I took last year.
Also began reading Karl's article on the carb and linkage mods for the LD-4B and a Holley. What a great resource this site is!
Gotta get a short workout in... got up late

Ya, it's tough. You paint them separate and then mess em' up when you install them. I sprayed some paint in the can cap and touched up with a model car paint brush.
I zinc plate everything super easy to do.
I hadn't even considered that... will have to look into it

I have always wondered which bolts came painted on the engine from the factory. Body seems like most of them that hang panels.
I like the contrast on the stainless bolts...(Thanks Wolfie) ... almost want to do black Intake bolts vice engine color

BTW.. wish i had gone with a older style water pump.. i have to figure how to make a power steering bracket (i had no idea) haven't checked if my old alt bracket will work from the poly...
I like that as well. May have to steel that idea pun intended
