WV, the 62's are different but does yours have a spot where the cables come together with a long *** bolt/nut to adjust tension? Try putting the cables on the brakes first then attaching that?

Yes, exactly it. Threaded rod where there's a curved bracket the center of the cable run goes through. That's where I'm just short of enough slack to get the nut threaded

well.. i know they stretch.. i'm using my original cables and i have them adjusted almost all the way up on that bolt

Morning!
Still above freezing, another sunny day. Not sure what im doing today. Maybe start on some sheet metal work.

Put the drums on with the rear cables attached and see how short it is a inch might stretch.

That's where the fistfight is taking place. Runs from the fixed points off the wheels, and hooks up to the cable assembly that comes out of the passenger compartment. Both drums are set and seem fine, and running the new one from the ebrake lever to the cross member was fine. It's the long cable that connects it all together.

Lemme get my coffee going and I'll go grab a picture
Don't i remember you moving the mounting points when you did the exhaust?

Ahh k.. yeah on 62 it's like this... safety first!(The springs are added on to keep them off the exhaust, not my car)
