Stop in for a cup of coffee

OK, Here's what you need to do...

The Actuator Calibration homes and repositions the air-door actuators and removes accumulated positioning errors. This can be done using a Star Scan tool (Dealer) or can be forced by the following process:

With the vehicle on and running (doors closed):
1. Turn the air temperature controls to the lowest (cold) setting for each side and wait for 30 seconds before proceeding.
2. Turn the main system control to the full "off" position and fan to the lowest setting.
3. Turn the vehicle off
4. Wait at least 5 minutes, then disconnect the battery, wait at least 5 minutes, then reconnect battery.
5. Restart the vehicle
6. Turn the main system control to "floor", turn fan to medium setting and wait for system to fully redirect the air flow to the floor.
7. Turn the air temperature controls to the highest (heat) setting for each side and wait for 30 seconds before proceeding.
8. Turn the main system to "vent" and wait for system to fully redirect the air flow.
9. Turn the air temperature controls to the lowest (cold) setting for each side and wait for 30 seconds before proceeding.
10. Turn the main system control to the full "off" position and fan to the lowest setting.
11. Turn the vehicle off, exit vehicle, close the door and lock vehicle.

The system should now be reset to base calibration and all "learned door position" data cleared.
Yep, that's a lot more involved than the one I saw. Hardest part of that is disconnecting the battery. It is buried, not sure if I can reach it todisconnect directly. I know there are jumper points, just need to see if taking it off there is a full disconnect. I really think the actuator and door are fine and set right from what I saw last night, but worth a try . Still a lot easier than messing with the core or even the lines into it that are directly behind the engine.

Nah, David is making a replacement part for the perforated outer part of the grill on his Fury.
Yep, this is the 1st attempt, result is just above hammered sh$t IMO, but with more careful measurements, it will work. Four pieces per side, that takes a longer attention span than I have today. Next!!

Nope, you have to disconnect the battery itself for it to work. There are multiple power distribution paths from the battery so it must be disconnected to fully kill the vehicle power. Just be sure to always disconnect the negative cable first, then the positive cable so that you don't get any arching that can destroy modules.

LOL cut me some slack Mike, poking holes in aluminum takes time:lol:
Hey David, why not just get some metal tape and poke the holes in that? It would be easier to do, can be cut to the actual pattern of the space (make a paper template first), it's self adhesive and you can paint the background black before applying it so it will look like the other parts of the grille.

oh sure - wait 'til he's about done THEN throw out a new idea...

Tape was my original idea, but Icouldn't find any quite wide enough for the larger sections, and the tape was more like shiny chrome than aluminum. You are right, I will probably do it with tape anyway. Maybe Sun and Monday, it will be cold and rainy.
