so, you are consindering spending money on parts to keep it a slantie, or, you might just settle on putting a 340 in there?
those are your options?

you are a very special lady indeed
:poke:

well this is a 63 valiant wagon and 63 has the bulge in the firewall that needs modifying to accommodate a V8 .....basically a 63 A body was made for a slant six which is why in 63 a slant was the only option ....the V8 was an option starting in 64 when they revised the firewall

HA!! maybe special Ed :(:rolleyes::rolleyes:

ok, so you can spend 300 dollars on a belhousing to run a slanty, or you can spend 10 dollars on this and run a V8

ahh - clearerer and clearerer - - so making it V8 adds to the to do list in a big way...

I guess it depends on what you ultimately plan to do with the car - sometimes it is worth a few extra bucks to avoid hassles

This is assuming 360 manifolds fit in the early A

Headers are off the table unless fender well headers are used .....uummmm no.

Or thousand dollar Dougs headers are used ......uummmm no

ok - I change my vote - keep the slanty. I mean, unless you just have to make it into some kind of street beast - it's essentially a waste of time to futz around cramming a V8 in there

Yea, i am starting to agree with staying six and just buying the bell.

The slant i have for this car is a rebuilt, decked block, shaved head, better cam, Clifford header and intake with 390 cfm holley

Ok... Just went and got the upper arms back for my Ram.. Looks very HD now, and they are 7/16 in longer than they were. I will install the bushings and ball joint, and tack them all. Then paint, before I install.. This should do the trick...

I lifted my 2wd Ram 3yrs ago, when I rebuilt the front end.. But it is so high, that the upper arms could not get enough eccentric adjustment to make the Camber proper. Also this arrangement wore out the upper bushings, badly. So I took it apart and took the arms to Ken Kier to have him extend/make longer by 7/16 in. So I can get proper Camber now.

I gotcha now. NICE!

In the last pic, you can see that the Camber is not right. Top of tires are in too much. And this was right after I lifted it 3 yrs ago.. Then the upper bushings wore so bad, that the Camber got worse.. Good thing I took it apart yesterday, because it almost ruined the arm holes and the eccentric bolts. I'll take pics of the FUBAR bushings tomorrow.
