Stop in for a cup of coffee

OK.Sounds good. I dont have factory manual from the electronic era. Well if you find there's slop and its hitting seems best to take hoppy up on the loaner. Or buy it as a spare. I have 2 goods ones, one for parts and the the tach drive one in my stash. That doesn't include one on the running engine in the car. For the Jeep I only have one spare, which is the original. But don't let me try influence you....
4.0 in the jeep?

I'm just looking to mess with it as little as possible before I bring it up your way. If I pull it, I could end up worse. Timing :BangHead:
Lol and you have a better timing light than I do just make sure it is set to 0 this time!:poke: Hey was it humid as crap out when you had the cap off and it did not want to start?

I cant get that live dam rotor went out all I get is 15's, 21's, 27;s 33 and 43.

Not much there check the distributor pigtail for corrosion, You wiring is in great shape.

Keith pull the ECU also and just look at the potting on the back see if it is still good, just an idea it has been humid as hell with the ground drying out.

Never thought of that what is the spec and where did you find it? I knew there are coil specs but never ran across that one. Then again I never really looked.

I didn't have it off today, but it was new since I rebuilt the engine. Even when the car is outside, it's on concrete. I did check that the grounding is good. I'll get a look at the back tomorrow.

What was up with the rotor also just thinking is the pin that holds the reluctor in all the way have gotten some in it was loose (up) and the reluctor was just snug enough to run. Easy check.

FSM just tells you to use their tester. I have a Peterson's Big Book of Auto Repair -1977 Edition. Says remove the plug from the controller and check from position 4 to 5 of the plug. Should be 350 to 550 ohms.

Nice did not know that for the THIRD time what was up with the damaged rotor you mentioned?

Have a 4.0 from Ron was just wondering, Nice jeep. Actually had one of them they are beasts!

Swamp would be a "wetland". Those are protected by the Feds. Silly me, this is Ca. We don't play by the Fed's rules.

They constantly closed the beach down at Surf near Lompoc because of a stupid bird. I have never seen so many warning signs in my life on what you can't do at the beach. That beach sucks anyway! Cold and windy and tar on the sand.
